It could. Each of us carries the traits for two blood types, which we inherit from our mother and father. You express one type, and simply carry the other. When you have children, you pass on the trait for one type blood, which may or may not be the type you actually are. My husband is Type A and I am Type B. I happen to know I carry the trait for O, as my mother is O. I don't know what other type my husband carries, but I suspect it is not O. We have four children, three of whom are actually AB, and one who is A. None of them carry my type alone, and none are Type O.
My father is Type A. I have a sister who is Type O and a brother who is Type A. I am the only one who is Type B, and I match neither parent, obviously. But at least one of them carries the trait, as I am definitely their biological child.
In order to guess what type blood your children will have, you need to know the traits for type which both parents carry. If you are type O, and one of your parents carry the trait, yes, you could be type O. Even though neither of your parents is.

Wow, I can't believe some people would give such ridiculous answers. Don't believe the other answers, except for the one above mine from "the mom." That one was actually right.
Yes it is possible for type a and type b blood to make type o. But they both have to be heterozygous for their blood type. Which means your dad has to be type B, with a recessive allel of o, and your mom has to be type A, also with a recessive allel of o. If this is the case (which is the only possible case to make type o blood from a and b) then there is a 25 percent chance of type o blood. There is also a 25 percent chance of type AB, A, and B blood with this combination.

umm blood types dont make blood types... when ur born you could have a blood type thats not even a or b, u could have o, its not genetics that give u a blood type, and by the way there are a+, a-, b+, b-, ab+, ab-, o+ and the most rare 0-, this is the only blood that can be transfused to anybody
