i have a lump on the right side or my neck, right where my thyroid is. i have a Dr appointment the middle of Feb that is when they could get me in. my sister any a aunt had cancer there and I'm very worried. i anyone has any information. plese lt me know thanks kelly wrachford

The other day I looked up at my popcorn ceiling right above my door/entrance way and there is a huge blank spot. I mean the paint and 'popcorn' is gone, there's a like 1.5 ft by 3 inch brown spot where there is no paint. I dono how it happened. Maybe because we moved in recently and the couch scraped the ceiling? Anyway will I die from asbestos??? I'm so damn scared now. I mean since the ceiling was disturbed did it release fibers and are there so many I'll die? Landlord said in lease there's asbestos in these apartments, since they were built in early 70's and asbestos used as fire retardant. PLEASE HELP!

A year ago I noticed i had a lump the size of a pea i guess would be my neck. If you fo to the middle of your tongue and go straight down to your neck thats the spot. A dr. told me maybe a swollen glad may never go away. No tests. This last x-mas I noticed its about the size of a golf ball. I'm not sure if it grew instantly but I noticed it because it hurt. went to a specialist. They had me to a CT scan. I have an apt. set for surgery to have it removed. But not for another 2 weeks. Can anyone tell me the chances of it being cancerous? I've noticed since it's gotten bigger I've had bad headaches. Then it could just be from stress. But my head hurts everyday. I'm not sure if its related. Does anyone have any ideas. The CT scan says its about an inch big. and a solid mass. Please help

My mom has a solid mass on her thyroid that she has to get cut out and have a biopsy done on it. I read on here that most (95%) of sold mass on the thyroid is benign. The doctor told her that the mass she has is big and because of the size of it, there is a possibility it is cancerous. The size is 4.8 x 3.0 x 2.4. I am really afraid for my mom going through this surgery because of her heart. Any thoughts on this would be really appreciated
