A year ago I noticed i had a lump the size of a pea i guess would be my neck. If you fo to the middle of your tongue and go straight down to your neck thats the spot. A dr. told me maybe a swollen glad may never go away. No tests. This last x-mas I noticed its about the size of a golf ball. I'm not sure if it grew instantly but I noticed it because it hurt. went to a specialist. They had me to a CT scan. I have an apt. set for surgery to have it removed. But not for another 2 weeks. Can anyone tell me the chances of it being cancerous? I've noticed since it's gotten bigger I've had bad headaches. Then it could just be from stress. But my head hurts everyday. I'm not sure if its related. Does anyone have any ideas. The CT scan says its about an inch big. and a solid mass. Please help

Perhaps it's a cyst. My sister has one in her wrist. It's benign. Hers also really hurts. It's still there, but if it gets larger, they will take it out. The doctor said it could reach golf-ball size, even. Yours could be a cyst, too. I'm not sure what the chances of it being cancerous are, but hopefully it is nothng bad.

Good luck.

i have worked in the cancer field with PET scans, MRI's, CT scans.. if the doctor hasn't mention the big C word than don't be scared. Doctors know what cancer looks like an before test are complete they can give you the answer that u are looking for... just relax an take it slowly, an enjoy life...
