My allergist told me to google egg allergies. The lists mention bread, pasta, beer etc. Is ALL bread, pasta and beer bad for me? Are there some brands that are ok? I also saw somewhere that sausages and some deli meats use eggs to hold the meat together. Is there anyone out there with an egg allergy or a parent of an egg allergy child who can give me hints as to what foods I should definitely stay away from and what foods I can eat??

I gave up eating lettuce because I got sick so many times after it with bad stomach cramps. It took me a long time to identify the source of the problem. Could I be allergic to lettuce, or could there be something like traces o finsecticide or preservative that I'm highly sensitive to?

It's hard to avoid lettuce as they seem to give it to you with everything in restaurants. I always have to tell them not to when I'm ordering. Sometimes I get sick even eating something that has been in contact with lettuce.

I'm otherwise healthy and can tolerate almost any other food. Thanks!

If you end up taking an over the counter medicine for your alergies and it says adults take one or two every 12 hours and you only take one and over an hour later you are still sneezing should you take another (limit 4 in 24)?

Hi there...thanks for reading. I'm 36 y.o. female diagnosed with fibromyalgia (constant muscle aches, fatigue, sleep problems) for 5 years. Lately I've noticed that sometimes when I eat, I start feeling even worse than usual. I have spells where I ACHE intensely, am so tired that I can hardly move, arms and legs feel like they have weights on them, and I feel as if I can't breathe. My throat doesn't close up, but my chest feels as if I just can't get enough air. My sinuses DO seem to tighten up, though. The prob. is that I can't find out if it's a certain food that does this. I'd like to see an allergist, but am a little afraid to as many doctors immediately assume a person with fibro is a complete nut or a hypochondriac and often blow them off. Fibro itself can also make other pain and symptoms seem worse. Any advice from your personal experience? BIG THANKS....winning response will receive a Nigerian Dwarf Goat wether. (Just kidding! No pun intended :)

i have been told i have upper respitory infection and allergies. i went to the doc because i had a runny nose and felt like i couldnt breath through my nose. he gave me antibiotics , nasonex and told me to take claritin. he told me my heart and lungs sounded fine. i am still freaking out ,i feel like i have to put in effort to breath. i have never had allergies before so i dont know if they are suppose to affect ur breathing. maybe i feel like this because i am more aware of how i am breathing...im freaking out , i suffer from anxiety too...so i am losing sleep over this breathing thing....has anyone ever felt like this? someone plz answer, im scared...

I'm a teenage guy with a DEADLY (insert cheesy "dum dum DUM!!!" here) food allergy.

Anyway i'd feel safer with a Medical ID (or medic alert? not sure the correct term) but am having trouble finding one that isn't $300 and gold.

Does anyone know of a website that would sell Medical ID Bracelets that i wouldn't feel like a girl wearing?

I myself do not have a cat, however, I have a friend that I visit frequently and she has two. I seem to only have the allergic reaction when I am in her house. I have other friends with cats, and as long as I don't touch them I am fine. What could be different about her house? It's so bad that 5 minutes from walking in the door I can feel my throat getting scratchy, itchy, red, watery eyes etc. Is there anything I can take in order to reduce these symptoms? Claritin and Benadryl showed no relief. Even vacuuming right before I came didn't help!

My 14 month old started getting a rash about a week ago. I took him to the doctor, she said it was contact dermatitis, maybe poison ivy. She gave him a course of steroids and told me if it wasn't better after two weeks to bring him back. He has been off the steroids for a couple of days and the rash is even worse than before. I have been letting him play in the yard, which I looked at closely and saw no poison oak, ivy, sumac or anything like that. I don't really have any experience with grass allergies except my niece, and she only gets sinus allergies. He has no sinus problems just the rash, could grass cause the contact dermatitis or should I keep on looking for something else?

I'm new to this. All this spring my eyes have been red and watery. I can't even wear my contacts. I'm taking claritin and eye drops but they're not helping that much.

I was just thinking about allergies and how people can be allergic to the oddest things. But, I started to wonder if there is anything that's universally safe for all human beings. Like, a substance that humans, as a whole, are not allergic to. Are there any?

So, pretty much, I want to wear cologne. However, whenever I do, if I can smell it all day, I get horrible headaches and feel light headed. I'm pretty sure I'm allergic somehow... but not in the usual sense of my body attacking a certain chemical... but is there a cologne in existance that I could wear? I know some other people who have told me that they have the same problem with certain brands or scents so I don't think it's uncommon. I just seem to have the problem with all of the brands and scents I've tried. Any help would be highly appreciated!!

We are both in our 40s and we have both been eating it all of our lives. Suddenly we both developed sever alergies to crustacians (like shrimp and crab) within weeks of each other. We both have our own wells but that's about the only thing we share. Could this be just coincidence??? Please no silly answers. Doctors and those with experiance only please.

my cat, mocing, had food allergy. then she developed skin infection in its underarms which started about 7 months ago. we consulted 3 veterenarians already. the latest prescribed an anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal & anti-bac all-in-one cream (imflammol). although the skin problem is improving (there are fine hairs growing already) it never gets totally cured cause she keeps on gnawing and licking the wound evrytime her collar is removed which results to bleeding. the skin lesion is reddish. and wet sometimes. i dont know if it is itchy thats why my cat keeps licking the wound. is there any remedy to stop her from doing that? i really dont know what to do anymore. i just want my cat to live a normal life--without a collar. pls help.. thanks...
