My 6 year old daughter had an allergic reation to Penicillan yesterday and broke out in hives all over. I keep giving her Benedryl every 4 hours, but as soon as it wears off she is broke out with more. Does anyone know how long she could continue to break out with them? Or should I do something else to help?

There is a woman in my workgroup who has decided to wear tons of perfume, knowing that it makes me ill. I sneeze, get lightheaded, and feel like I can't catch my breath. This woman is "very friendly" , so the management said that she can wear whatever she wants, and that I need a note from an Allergist, proving my condition.

I've gotta a runny nose and my ears seem to be popping every time I swallow. I've got a slight sore throat and from time to time (after a few hours maybe) I cough up flem and when I do I feel a sharp pain in the area of my chest right below my throat and the pain seem to subside after massaging it a little afterwards.

I've been told that I may need antibiotics but I really don't have the time to seek a doctor and get a prescription - is there a home remedy to cure these symptoms or perhaps any over-the-counter medications that anyone can suggest?

Why does sneezing lead people to saying, "God Bless You" while you are spreading germs too?

Ever since I was a kid every time I was served fish I've gotten nauseated and sometimes threw up. I've avoided most fish since then but can eat things like Tuna, sword fish and well that seems to be about it. Even things like Kelp trigger the nausea. Just walking threw areas with fish makes me ill and triggers the gag reflex. Is this an allergy to Shell fish or something else?

Whenever I try to put my contacts in in the morning, they either cloud up or won't go in due to excessive slime in my eyes. If I manage to wipe the slime out, my eyes look very red for the rest of the day. I know this is caused by eye allergies (though I haven't been tested for allergies) as I've had this problem since I got contacts three years ago. (and I can't think of anything else that would cause this) Is there any sort of eye drops that help with this? I've tried several allergy medicines (benadryl, claritin, even prescription clarinex, and some generic brands) and none have helped so far. I dislike glasses (partly out of vanity, I'll admit) and right now I can't afford to buy glasses in my eye prescription anyways. Anything I can do? it's taken me up to half an hour to get my contacts in before, and I'm getting irritated.

For the past month I've been having sinus problems in the morning. I wake up with pressure in my ears and sensitivity to sound. I don't really feel stuffy but my eyes are usually swollen and my nose is drippy. Usually by the late afternoon though the symptoms have faded and I'm left with the pressure in my ears. I've washed all my sheets and dusted every square inch of my apartment with no relief. I also went to see my docter and he said that I might be dehydrated. I've tried drinking water and tea before bed and that doesn't help either. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, how do you deal with it?

I was eating pizza and with mushrooms and after a few minutes I was out of breath I tried benadryl and didnt work so my fam. was going to take me to the hospital but I felt like I couldnt breathe and I was extreamly weak! We had to call the paramedics instead cause it was getting worse. They put an oxygen mask on me, I.V. and all this other stuff but I still havent gone to an allergist and never ate pizza again. Is this normal?
