What you are describing isn't an allergic reaction, but could be some form of intolerance. In my non-medical, humble opinion, it sounds like they're inducing migraines (headaches, then often barfing), and this could be from the fat, the sugar, or a combination of the two. Does this happen with anything else? Cheese? Caffeine? Chocolate? Red wine? Ask your doc next time you go for some info on migraines and see if it fits the bill.....and stay away from donuts!

Check the ingredients and additives in the donuts you eat. You can look up each of the ingredients to check what the side effects are for each and then make an educated guess as to which causes you to be ill. You can compare the ingredients with foods you tolerate.

Many people have to avoid Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) as it gives them headaches. MSG has several names as do other additives. In my opinion if manufactures thought additives were safe and good for you they wouldn't try to use alternate names for the same product. You can go to a web site to learn more about this additive and others.

I would search for a donut recipe and see what there is on the ingredients list that you don't normally eat and isn't in other foods you normally eat either, this could narrow down the list of wht could be causing the problem. Alternatively talk to your doctor about it, you need to know what is causing this reaction so you can prevent it from happening in future.

There could be several things going on here.

Donoughts are fried, so you could be reacting to that. They are also usually made with white flour, and if you suffer from celiac disease (unable to tolerate gluten), that could make you sick. I doubt it's that though, since you say you're okay with cakes.

Or there might even be something in the glaze that is causing you to feel icky.

You are not very smart, if you are alergic to something DO NOT TOUCH IT. Donoughts are too fattening too, stay away from it

it could be the fat content as its deep fried/or yeast intolerance.
