My throat is not burning or scratching...but sore like glands are swollen. It has gotten better but it is still there and I'm wondering if the infection in my eye can cause my nose to be runny and therefore give me this sore throat. I have heard people get malaised and just yucky with pink eye but others have said it's just annoying. I have been given drops and I honestly feel better already as far as my eyes are concerned....but the rest of me feels yuck. Anyone similar?

I had an anaphylactic reaction a few years ago and was wondering what others who had a severe allergic reaction experienced? What did you react to? How long did it take after consuming/coming in contact with your reactor for reaction? and most importantly, have you had a second anaphylactic reaction to a different source after your first?

I've been interested anaphylaxis ever since my reaction a few years ago. Coming that close to death really changed my life. I'm just curious about other's experiences.

I feel hot in my face. I've had shingles before, and it was in my face. Last time I went to the dr, I was fine. Could I be lactose intollerant? My husband & I have been trying to narrow it down to a certain few things -- monosodium glutamate, salt, peanuts..
It's very annoying & what am I doing wrong? I drink water & iced tea at work-that's it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you.

I too have acute non-allergic rhinitis. I have had it for 4 years now. It just started up. At first I thought it was my seasonal allergies; but it wasn't that as I continued to have the need to cough up mucus etc. My doctor says there is no cure. I have tried antihistomines. I find that when I am very busy doing something I don't have the same intensity of "fits" as it were. I am afraid of going to the library, the store and even church because I have to almost continuely use my hanky to cover my mouth as I try to cough up something. When I sleep I sleep with an elevated pillow. Nothing seems to lesson my problem. And, it adds to my depression. I am a disabled veteran, living alone. I'd love to resume going to church; but I do not want the stares or looks of people even when I try to suppress my need to cough up anything. And yes, I have tried suppressants. I am 56 years old. I take ritalin, effexor, vicodin and use an inhaler for my asthma.

Can anyone help? I live only on social s

I have taken every allergy medicine and in every combination for a long time now and my allergies seem to just persist and even get worse. I cut it all out and am taking oil of oregano, vitamin C and some other supplements with one Clariton each day. I have had a closed sinus passage on the left side for months - no air in, no air out - and am wondering if there is anything that might take care of that situation short of getting it "roto-rootered"? Suggestions?

I started having really bad allergic reactions about 2 years ago. They are not just at home either. It will happen while away from home for a week, or even if I am away from home for the day.

What happens is really bad rashes/hives (both seem to manage to appear). They completely cover my back, legs and abdomen at times. I have done logs with everything (food, perfumes, laundry detergent and such), and I have changed everything a few times, yet it is none of these. (Allergy test not really a possibility)

As I said, these started about 2 years ago. Now I have noticed that moments in which I stress, it is maximized. I worry a lot too, and it always seems to go hand in hand with these rashes and hives. It seems whenever I get scared or nervous (and sometimes happy), I am completely covered with the rashes/hives. Is it possible to have an allergy to adrenaline? It is the only thing I can think of that will fit...

Whenever I eat a banana, my bottom lip will begin to have a little burning sensation from where the banana touched it, usually on the left and right sides. Does anyone else ever experience this? Is there something in bananas that can cause a reaction like that? Besides my bottom lip feeling hot/burning sensation, I eat them fine and love them!

I'm in a foreign country (where language barrier is a huge problem, especially when it comes to medical treatments at local hospitals). My doctor prescribed me Fropine (or fluoxetine, a generic of Prozac). She gave me this prescription to supposedly suppress my appetite (at 112 lbs. and 5'1 in height, she thought I had a weight problem), treat depression, and my panic attacks. However, I'm allergic to ibuprofen and aspirin (which I told the doctor but I don't think she understood me at all). My doctor currently put me on a one-week treatment. Considering the side effects of this drug, I just wonder if I will get allergic to it in some way?

I've had hives for about three weeks now.

Is it possible to suddenly develop an allergy to a shampoo you've been using for about six months?

Also, is it feasible that it would make you break out all over your body (I don't think there's been a spot on me that hasn't been broken out in hives -- scalp, tops of feet, palms of hands, back, you name it, it's been hivey) instead of just your head/neck?

I am interested in finding out if "black mold" is found in cigarette smoke. I know a heavy smoker who insists she is suddenly getting headaches due to having found black mold in her house.

Thanks for any information.

If I get within one quarter of a mile (downwind) of a Magnolia Tree in bloom, I start getting nauseated, my head starts to hurt and I get dizzy. I feel as though I am being drugged. Getting away from it doesn't help, I'm done for the rest of the day with those symptoms. I just have to go to bed and wait it out. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem as I've never met anyone else that has ever heard of it before.

Hi, I have some Claratin pills (10 mg, little white circular pill) in my desk at work, still in the package, and my allergies are really acting up. The problem is, that I don't know how many to take? I think it's one, but I'm not too sure. Anyone know? Thank you!
