If I get within one quarter of a mile (downwind) of a Magnolia Tree in bloom, I start getting nauseated, my head starts to hurt and I get dizzy. I feel as though I am being drugged. Getting away from it doesn't help, I'm done for the rest of the day with those symptoms. I just have to go to bed and wait it out. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem as I've never met anyone else that has ever heard of it before.

Yes, I know some people who are allergic to these blossoms. Why not, they're flowers aren't they? But the problem is that if you live down south, they're everywhere. My reccommendation is to move. Seriously. You could get shots but those only work for a few years and there is a chance your symptoms will worsen. I grew up in the midwest and never knew till I moved that what was messing with me was corn pollen. The only surefire way to take care of this was not live near corn. If you can't leave then all you can do is take a pretty strong antihistimine.

All flower blossoms are capable or giving you an allergic reaction.

Try to travel by a different route.

You could also go to a doctor and get some epinephrine to stop the anaphylactic reaction
