Well, you were given eye-drops, which must have been antibiotics, so that means that you had bacterial conjunctivitis to begin with (there's also viral and allergic). Usually, the same bacteria that causes conjunctivitis also causes other (more generalized, and not localized to the eye) illnesses -- such as, sinusitis, strep throat, and upper respiratory infections.
To answer your question though, no, neither conjunctivits nor eye drops can leak into your nose and cause you to have post nasal drip which would then irritate your throat. If I had to guess, I'd say that you have strep throat. Streptocaccus is a common cause of conjunctivitis (pink eye), and as you may know, it also is the cause behind strep throat. If you do have strep throat, it can be easily diagnosed by the doctor taking a swab of the back of your throat, and if you do have an infection, treat you with oral antibiotics. It is possibly that you picked up strep throat somewhere, and that the bacteria stayed dormant in your body for a while, yet it just came out in your eyes frist. With the swollen glands, I really think it's a good idea to go back into the doctor and get checked out further. Swollen glands represent your body trying to fight an infection, and it's rare to have that much of a reaction for conjunctivitis.
Feel better soon!!! Take care!

I live in Iowa and this is going around like crazy. My 3 yr old had it and passed it along to both hubby&myself. When we took her in to see a Dr we were told that it was conjunctivitous and not pink eye as we all had sore throat and runny nose.
SO its normal yes but it may not be pink eye that you have.Go to your Dr and get they eyedrops they help a great deal. And use a hot wash cloth over your eyes it helps a great deal as well.Oh and if you get the eye drops then the conjuctivitous only lasts for about 3 days.If you don't get them it'll last forabout 7-10 days..
Good Luck & Get Well Soon,

The best way to reduce the discomfort of sore throat is to take pain meds like Tylenol or Advil (acetominofen or Ibuprofen).
Warm beverages and soups are also soothing to the throat.
Gargling with warm salt water is effective at soothing and also for helping to reduce the viral infection. Good oral hygiene when you are sick is also good -- brushing your teeth and using antiseptic mouthwash (like Listerine brand) are helpful to reduce the level of viruses in your mouth.
There are also tons of products such as throat lozenges and throat sprays that are soothing. For lozenges, I have found that the most effective active ingredient is:
hexylresorcinol
But there are not very many products that have it. Instead you will probably be able to find products containing other active ingredients.
The brand Cepacol is generally the most effective lozenges available (in the USA). Here is their website:

your symptoms are suggestive of either an allergic conjunctivitis or a viral infection.
Take antiallergic eye drops and tablets from your doctor and you will feel better.
If it is viral, just a simple antibiotic will help.
For your nasal complaints you need an antiallergic dose of tablets, nasal drops which will rapidly decrease and stop all your symptoms.
Take care
