It is possible you are allergic. Pay attention when you eat them, because an allergy can become severe very quickly.

Yes, and the allergist said to stop eating bananas. The allergy will get worse, you will become hypersensitized, and your throat can swell! If you look up the reactions listed below, it will be easier to give up bananas. With this type of allergy, you should also see an allergist for testing and advice right away.
"The most common fruits that cause reactions include apricots, bananas, cherries, kiwis, melons, papayas, peaches, pineapples, plums and strawberries.
Some of the symptoms associated with fruit allergies include: Acute urticaria Allergic rhinitis Anaphylaxis Atopic dermatitis Bronchial asthma Contact dermatitis Oral allergy syndrome Pruritis"

I used to have that same problem with almost all raw fruits and vegetables. Watermelon was the worst; wherever the juice would touch me I would break out in a rash. It is called oral allergy syndrome. Try cooked bananas and see if they bother you.
If your allergy to bananas gets worse, it can cause a permanent swelling of your lip.

it could be an alergic reaction. you can really get a reaction from anything, some get it from food some get it from stress some get it from excersise. so as you can see there are many things that can cause it. i used to get it from citrus fruits but i stopped eating them because my tongue would swell and really hurt. i would say stop eating them bec you don't want to go into anaphalactic shock. good luck.
