I'm pretty sure you don't have nickel in your implant as they have been made from plastics and titanium for many years. I had my knee done two years ago, and I have the same problem. I still get pain daily and from overuse. I personally think that it's because of damage to the nerves during the surgery. I take anti-inflammatories to reduce swelling and help with the pain. You can use cold packs, which I find very helpful; or heating pads (protect your skin!). I also have a hip replacement, and it is basically pain free. Let me add that now orthopedics are offering gender-friendly implants. The knee I have was for any gender. Now they have replacements made just for women; they are smaller. You should be talking to your doctor about the pain. Godloveya!!!

Hello =)

I don't think anyone has used uncoated nickel in implants in many many years.....

The cases you are referring to are very old.

Namaste, and Happy New Year,
