For the past month I've been having sinus problems in the morning. I wake up with pressure in my ears and sensitivity to sound. I don't really feel stuffy but my eyes are usually swollen and my nose is drippy. Usually by the late afternoon though the symptoms have faded and I'm left with the pressure in my ears. I've washed all my sheets and dusted every square inch of my apartment with no relief. I also went to see my docter and he said that I might be dehydrated. I've tried drinking water and tea before bed and that doesn't help either. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, how do you deal with it?

Yes you should be getting a lot of answers, I get a RX of Zyrtec D from the Physician, why the Doctor did not prescribe anything is a good question to ask, his office. There is Claratin now OTC and many other allergies medicines, just go to the allergies section at CVS Rite Aide Meijers etc. Vick's has a non drowsy Dayquil sinus capsules that are also very good. Perhaps by taking the meds in the evening it will releave the problem. Get well soon and a Happy New Year

cut out the tea, if it has caffeine it will only worsen the problem.
did the doctor recommend at all, using a humidifier?
worth a try.
also, the one that said about Allegra, I use it during allergies season may-july (where I live) and it works better than anything else they had me try.

Maybe if those things don't work you should go to a different doctor, you may unknowingly have a food allergy.

do you have allergies, maybe if you are allergic to something in your house, try a claritin before bed, it has helped me a lot, even though i dust at least 1 time a week, i still get stuffed up at night, but instead of taking my claritin in the am i take it a few hours before bed and i don't wake up as stuffy

it is winter, and if you are using the heater, it's drying the air, As far as am sinus problems, you are in a flat position, allowing "pooling" of your sinus fluids into your cavities, as you are upright during the day, they drain. Your sinuses and inner ear canals are related.

I would ask my doctor for Allegra D to counteract the drizzles that are compounding the sinus problems.
