Okay, I have this pain that associates with basically every symptom of appendicitis. I went to the doctor and they said that I was I had some stool backed up in my colon, so they put me on a laxative. It worked and I got cleaned out and everything, but I still had the pain (it down-graded somewhat). I'm going for an ultra sound soon and I was wondering if you guys thought it might be appendicitis. I just want to be prepared.

P.S. I'm 13 years old and a female.

I am doing a science lab titled "Dietary Supplements or Drugs? " The symptom I chose was acne, and the solution, Proactiv. Personally, I don't use it, so I cant read the box, but if you do, please tell me about the pros and cons of Proactiv. It is fine if the informations comes from the internet as long as you state the URL. Thanks!

I have been doing what my doctor has asked for 1 year. I will be getting a Cryotherapy done on me to freeze my uterus. However, I can't help but feel that despite my efforts the virus will continue to be in my system until it turns to cancer. My doctor said that the virus is a lingering virus but my prognosis is excellent because I am catching it on time. What is going to happen when I get older and my immune system can't fight the virus or keep it suppressed?

Recently I had a scare with herpes. Here's the story.

I thought I received in on the 9th, and my symptoms started within 2 hours (on my mouth). But from what I'm told from my doctor is that it isn't possible to see new symptoms so fast...and that it would require an incubation time.

The test said I didn't acquire anything new, but I have gained the virus down the line (ie either type 1 or 2). This is the first time I recall having something like oral herpes on my mouth...although I've frequently had dry lips...and I'm wondering if they're one and the same!? Are the times I have dry lips...herpes from my youth or from kissing?

I have had no blisters down below and I'm trying to figure out if I have type 1 or type 2 on my lip...but my doctor says they're tied together....as far as the test goes. I want to be responsible and not transfer anything, but at the same time I don't want to forgo my sex life if all I have is oral herpes...which 60% of the population has to some degree.

Hi. Does it even mean anything? Nurse said radialogist said i had lesion or something else...and i won't see neurologist for a month or more. It mustn't be serious since they haven't rushed me to hospital, lol. I'm just trying to get a handle on this before i see him. How do 'they' handle it...or maybe they don't? Thanks for your time and efforts. ...anything u want to add, i'd appreciate and asap

I have taken Lipitor off and on for a few years. I began hearing about side effects such muscle weakness, joint pain and liver damage and I had been experiencing side effects myself, so I did some research and found some frightening reports. I stopped taking it 10 days ago and still have symptoms. Is there permanent damage?www.medications.com/go/se/Lipitor

my wife has been in pain since may this year, in bouts, i cant figure out any pattern apart from when its really really bad , it seems to be around 3.00 in the morning on the weekend.not necessarily after shes been drinking! she gets doubled up pain shooting from just below her right side ribcage to the right side
when admitted her blood pressure was up, she had blood in her urine when tested. the centre of her tummy under her ribcage went hard and bloated for a while.
she has had several scans,no gallstones or sludge showing .a hida scan showed her gallbladder was working slowly.

she is in hospital now and on 20 of morphene and tramadol every 3/4 hours and her pain level varies from 8 to 6 out of 10 depnding on whether shes just had a dose or not. she is still not out of pain at any time .
unusual thing to me seems that she is in more pain when she breathes out (does that mean only the edge of her ribcage is pressing on something ?-if so what)
anyone got experience of this ?

I am 25 had mammo because lump was felt by me and doc. Had mammo they didnt see lump but increased density want ultrasound. I just want to know what most women have experianced when they where diagnosed, through the testing. I am just scared even if they find nothing suspicious because my grandpa was mis diagnosed several times by the time they figured out what he had they only gave him 3weeks to live he had terminal cancer, my aunt was diagnosed with bc at 32 and now my uncle has stage four lung cancer(never smoked) no one in family does they have no idea how it developed. They are all my paternal side of the family. I am just scared of being mis diagnosed.

So please share your test, diagnosis stories thanks.

My Father has High BP and his mom had a triple bypass, and high bp and other stuff. How might this affect my chances of getting heart disease and what are other contributing factors? (besides smoking and birthcontrol pills, I don't do either of those). How important is weight for instance?

I am currently taking Accutane, which can only be administered if you are in the IPLEDGE program. This program is ridiculously inconvenient, and expensive. It is used to treat persistent acne. There are blood tests and UA's which amount to a lot of bills. But it is the only affective treatment I have found yet for my acne.
The program is just so ridiculously hard to do because inbetween my doctor visit, I have to go online, and fill out some retarded questions about how I'm preventing myself from getting pregnant, and then I have to go to the pharmacy, and RECEIVE the perscription, before 7 days pass (beginning from the day I saw my doctor). If the pharmacy is out, then I'm SOL, because then I have to wait another month before I can get my perscription again because IPLEDGE is gay.
I am really looking to get out of this program because it is AWFUL and I hate it. Does any one know of any other program or treatment that works for acne? I am not talking face scrubs and other stuff.

My doctor checked the meds I take and she said it's not my meds and she thinks its either a mistake from the lab or something going on in my body. What could cause this and how do you cure it?? What could be the side effects if this continues?

I am creating an NHS leaflet regarding MRSA on neonatal wards. I would like you to tell me any questions parents of neonatal unit babies with MRSA might have so that i can answer them in the leaflet. I have several already including:
'what is MRSA',
'how does it spread',
'is is dangerous',
'what is the treatment',
'are there any long term effects',
'can i hold/visit my baby'

I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Phil
