Does anyone who gets tonsil stones know how to keep them from coming back? Or a possible easy way to get them out. I get them quite frequently and I usually have to dig them out with a toothpick, but it always gags me.... its getting old. Can anyone help?

My son has been insulin sependent since he was 8 years old. He's now 23. The last year he has been having terrible problems with control. He is having sudden and unexpected hypoglycemic reactions. There are no symptoms at all of an episode coming on.

Today is was suggested he go to the insulin pump. We have an appointment next week to see about this (we can;t get one before) He can test and be fine, but just minutes later his sugar plumits and he's unconcious.

Can you please give us some info on how the insulin pump has worked for you? Pro's cons (I know cost is a big con, but his life is at stake)

I'm just terrified i'm going to lose my son.

I wanted life insurance but five months later the life insurance company are stalling and i am still waiting on decision. The reason is that i have left axis deviation on ecg. The life insurance company sent me to private dr whose surgery was in back room of chemist. He repeated ecg and said it was abnormal. Ten years ago i saw cardiologist at top hospital who said it was just difference between blue and brown eyes. I am getting worried as implications if i am refused insurance for future house purchases etc?? also could it now be abnormal? Do i need to get second opinion from own gp?

Can i appeal a decision by life insurance company?

there are bloood at my 6 years old girl stool. Not inside the stool, but mainly after the whole process is nearly done, there's always at least 1 drop of blood will drop. I only realised it last 3 days ago. I dont know when it started. only recently, her stool start getting harder. So I took a tissue and dapped on her anus and I was shocked to see blood stain there. Initially i thought it could be a slight tear becuase of her hard stool. But today her stool is much softer but still there's bloody .. at least 3 drop and some stains. i get her to go on her knees to check. Of course she cried. I then realised that it actually from inside the anus not tear around the anus.

I am so worried. Anybody pls.... any advice?
I will be going to see doctor tomorrow. But im scared that the doctor will force open her anus.... oh dear!

Hey there, I'm having a Sigmoidoscopy next week along with Hemorrhoid Ligation (banding). Has anyone had these two proceedures done before? If so, does it take very long and is it painful? Any information would be appreciated.

I've been to the urologist and had all the tests. Doctor says that there is no damage or disease to explain my irritated bladder. I can barely go two hours without getting bladder discomfort. I produce on average 100-125 cc's of urine. I can produce 350cc's first thing in the morning. I did try Detrol LA , Ditropan and one other med and got no relief. My keigels are good and have no leakage. Any ideas?

im suppose to take 50mg twice a day so thats every 12 hours..i dont wake up early often..so i was wondering if it would hurt me and would it be ok for me to take the night dosage a little earlier like an hour or 2?..would that be ok..also if that is what would be the earliest i can take it could i even do it 3? hours before

A 38 years old male is brought to Emergency Department(ED). The patient's was found living near the sloop of an apartment building. The paramedics were unable to obtain only history from the patient en route because the patient has an Altered mental status.

On arrival the patients VS are on oral temperature of 35.4C, Blood pressure of 88/40, heart rate of 38 beats per minute. Result of his cardiac examination are significant for marked bradycardia. A lung examination reveal rhonchi in the right lower lung field. The patients is cold and his blood glucose level is 104mg/dL.

She's had no induction and no-one she works with seems to know what the company procedure is so she went to her GP who has told her she needs to go through the occupational health service. How do you get in contact with them? Have her employers broken any laws or rules by not having a procedure or at least not telling the staff what to do if they get bitten?

I'm so embarassed to talk about it, but I don't know whom to turn to with this problem. I have this sort of blister in my butt and it just won't go away. I had a couple of the same kind during last summer but they eventually diminished. And this one is much worse because it doesn't seem to get smaller and I am worried. Sometimes it makes even difficult for me to go to the restroom because that thing becomes kinda painful afterwards. And I have absolutely no idea what to do about it! What if it never disappears?! What am I gonna do???
