I wanted life insurance but five months later the life insurance company are stalling and i am still waiting on decision. The reason is that i have left axis deviation on ecg. The life insurance company sent me to private dr whose surgery was in back room of chemist. He repeated ecg and said it was abnormal. Ten years ago i saw cardiologist at top hospital who said it was just difference between blue and brown eyes. I am getting worried as implications if i am refused insurance for future house purchases etc?? also could it now be abnormal? Do i need to get second opinion from own gp?

Can i appeal a decision by life insurance company?

Left axis deviation with no other cardiac issues is a non-factor for underwriting.

If you have an underlying heart issue, insurance companies will underwrite you based on that specific heart issue.

Keep in mind that each company is different and that while one company may decline you, others may be available to you.

Five months of underwriting - there must be something wrong with the file, agent, or company as it shouldnt take this long. send them a request in writing asking for decision or details.

First of all, don't worry about any insurance for household purchases, your health has nothing to do with that. Secondly, left axis deviation is usually a normal variation in the ECG in which the currents arising from the heart picked up by ECG have a leftward deviation. It is not an abnormal finding and requires no treatment unless accompanied by any structural defect of the heart.

To set your mind at rest, why not have a chat with your own GP?

in this circumstance there's a swing of the cardiac axis to the left - ie below minus 30 stages. that's oftentimes the consequences of a left anterior hemiblock rather than to the extra effective bulk of muscle of the left ventricle. different reasons incorporate: inferior myocardial infarction ventricular pre-excitation extreme potassium tricuspid valve atresia atrial septal illness in newborns man made cardiac pacing (pacemaker) ECG findings: the QRS turns into predominantly detrimental in III and effective in aVL.( The circumstance isn't significant till the QRS is likewise predominantly detrimental in II.) this is all with regard to the electrical powered conduction on your heart which isn't inevitably an eternal ailment in spite of the indisputable fact that it displays the circumstance of what is going on at that element alongside with your heart. it might desire to be the consequences of alternative impermanent circumstances, too, so seeing which you're lively, no issues, enable drowsing canines lie. have exciting cycling.
