3 weeks after my thyriod surgery my TSH level was at 31, the next week it dropped to 28 then 25 and now 18 (blood tests once per week). How is it possible for my TSH to be dropping when I have no thyroid?

I have thyroid cancer and cannot have the radioiodine scan until my TSH is at 40, but the levels are going the wrong way.

I first noticed a strange rash on my thigh about a week ago. It's a little bigger then a dime and it has a red outer circle with a read dot in the middle, but otherwise is pretty much clear. I sort of brushed it off because I have eczema, but no matter how much I moisturize, it just won't go away. I've had constant headaches on and off for a few years now too, but lately they've been getting worse. I only looked up lyme disease because I've been feeling really tired and kind of sick and achy lately, even when I get a good amount of sleep. I'm someone who can survive on only a few hours of sleep so I thought it was rather strange that I kept on getting these tired spells. When I looked up symptoms for lyme disease I also remembered that I've been getting muscle aches, specifically in my forearms lately. It comes and goes, but it kind of has me freaking out. I know lyme disease is possible because I live near the woods and often go jogging in them. Should get a lyme disease test done?

So my kids have attened the same school for 5 years now, and yesterday they bring home a letter saying please dont send your kids to school with peanut butter sandwiches or ANY nut products! Apparently there are some allergic kids at the school. I know this can be serious and Im trying not to be insensitve, BUT....what happens when these kids go off to middle/high school? There are no restrictions at those schools? What about in the real world? My sons love peanut butter and nut products. For some families this is a affordable sandwich that is always around! Im trying to find out if this is common or just somthing ridiculous! Thanks!

My mom had a PET scan done and since they saw a shadow, they took out one of her lobes of her right lung. They confirmed it was malignant. As we speak she is in the hospital in ICU trying to regain some strength to be discharged. Has anyone known anyone or themselves who has survived? They havent staged her cancer yet, so the doctors dont have a prognosis for us at this time, I am looking for anyone who has been through this or known someone thanks!

I frequently get headaches & migraines (since 8 years old). I have brain scans continuously, no causes have been found. I was on amitrpytoline but it didn't work so I was taken off. I occassionally used to take Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Tylenol, etc. except now, when I take them (I try not to as much as I can) for the past year or two they haven't worked. They provide no relief at all! I was prescribed Tylenol with Codeine for my headahces but they also don't work.

I am not exaggerating, I wouldn't be asking why they don't work.

They provide absolutely no relief. I would appreciate so much if someone could explain to me why ?!

Also, I am a 15 year old female. I have been sick for about 2 years with an undiagnosed illness. Rheum &symptoms/tests show Lupus, but I am not getting into that! I just want to know why pain relievers aren't working with head, bone, inflamation. Also, I take 15 g Meloxicam for 1 month now; still not working, is there a relationship too?

My best friend just died of Brain cancer. He used medical marijuana for the pain and nausea. I witnessed it work wonders for him. I am unsure why so many are against it. I seen it help him die in much less pain than if he did not have it. I am curious why anyone would be against something that helps terminally ill people die in less pain? Why would it concern anyone enough to keep it away from those that need it and will die a more horrible death without it?

My grandma is fighting breast cancer and has just recently lost her hair due to chemo. I'm browsing the web for wigs for her to choose, but I have a couple of questions:
What are the different methods of getting your wig to stay on?
I live in an area of extreme heat, plus my grandma has a sensitive scalp / skin in general, she also loves to cook and be around the stove, etc. so what would be the best type of wig?
Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

To everyone who answered my last question about suicide thank you for the replies - please note i have seen a psychiatrist, have been in hospital and spoken to counsellors and am on effexor - antidepressant. I am not saying it for pity i am just desperate and tired of mental and physical pain in my life.

Some people said they recovered from fibromyalgia but there was no email address to reply - if so how did you do it and did the tiredness ever go?

does anyone recommend anyone in the uk to see about this??
