My cousin is only 49, and has recently suffered a stroke...his Mother also died very young of a heart attack, it does run on his maternal side, however my Uncle also died of heart complications, do you think that you are "predisposed" to suffer this horrible medical problems if they run in your family? Also I would want to know about any of your personal experiences....Thank you!

I get it on my arms and back and sometimes my legs. Worse I pick at it. I think I might have very sensetive skin. I need a functional remedy because I can't walk around shirtless with acne cream all over me.

I recently had a mole removed on my breast because it was irregular and while it wasn't cancerous, my doctor thought it was best to remove it so it didn't become a problem. Since then, I have been looking over my body for other moles and have found one on my buttocks. It is just a regular mole, not like the one on my breast, but I am wondering if it is a problem because of its location? As I'm sure you can understand, I'm not exactly thrilled to run to my doctor and show him this one...

Well this morning around 7 my mom had to call the ambulance because my dad was coughing up phlem and there was blood in it. He had a gargle in his throat. We both knew it was his CHF. But what caused him to have blood in his phlem? My mom said something about the doctor thought it might be an artery clot. Can someone tell me what that is?

Autism is not a mental illness, but a neuro-biological disorder. But I'm not sure what category would be best for this question. I hope placing it here in the mental health section does not offend anyone. If it does, I'd like to apologize.

Ok, what exactly is the Combating Autism Act, and why are many parents of Autustic children, and many Autistic adults against it? Will this act find ways to prevent children with this syndrome from being born, or will it simply spread awareness about Autism, and provide treatment so that Autistics can function with more ease in society?

Would this also apply to people with Aspergers? Also, what will this mean for adults who have gone undiagnosed for years, only to find out at 20, 30, and older they have an autistic spectrum disorder? Will they be ostracized even more if Autism is eventually gotten rid of in the future? I'm confused and interested in hearing both sides. Thanks.

I'm 31 and a smoker. I've had a dull pain on the left side of my chest for the last 3 days. I got an ECG done, which came out as normal, and the doctor told me that it would probably be just a muscular pain. Not satisfied, a few hours later I went to another hospital. ECG again was fine. This doctor also assured me that it's not a cardiac problem. My arm doesn't hurt, I don't feel breathless, and I don't feel exhaustion. However, The pain is still there, and I'm still worried. Can anyone suggest what further course of action I can take?

I was just diagnosed with TTS and I have flat feet. My insurance company will not pay for the custom made orthotics that are, according to my doc, very necessary for treatment/condition. Does anyone have any suggestions on how safe or effect it is to treat this with store bought arch supports instead of custom made. I will inform my doc when i go back in two weeks. I am concerned that I will cause more damage by not getting the custom made orthotics. any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Also, will the pain go away, it started so suddenly and it is very complicated to continue my normal lifestyle with this pain. thanks!!
