Are you aware that elevated blood sugar and severe stress are the REAL enemies, NOT cholesterol in coronary heart disease?

"High blood sugar promotes CHD in numerous ways; it stimulates free radical activity, reduces vitamin C uptake by our cells, impairs the immune system, decreases levels of nitric oxide in our arteries, inhibits the breakdown of blood clots, and dramatically increases glycation, a process in which glucose molecules irreversibly attach themselves to protein and lipid molecules inside the body.. Amoung other things glycation stimulates further free radical production and results in the formation of advanced glycosylation end-products (AGEs), also known as glycoxidation products.

It's a pity so few of us would even have a clue what out fasting blood glucose is because monitoring one's blood glucose levels is a far more useful and widely applicable predictor of one's future mortality risk than one's cholesterol levels. "

Sometimes I find myself moving around in bed at night with insomnia. Moving my feet and toes. During the day, when I am in class, I change my position every 5-10 minutes because I begin to feel uncomfortable. I'm tired all the time as well.

My grandmother is 75 years old and for the past few months she has had a nagging cough. She first began coughing frequently when she had a cold in mid- December but the cough went away when she got better. Then she had a relapse in January and since then she has had this cough that occurs every single day and night. SHe claims that it is like a tickle in her throat from her nasal drip. I have to be honest my mother is a smoker and has been living with my grandmother her whole life. How concerned should I be. Please give me all possibilities not just the worst cases. No uneducated responses please!

My heart feels like it is fluttering around - and I can't seem to get it to stop. It goes for like 1 second, then stops, then returns about 30 seconds later. I get this when I'm under a lot of pressure

Am I too young to have breast cancer?
The past two generations of my family (males & females) have died from cancer. I am 25 years old, last week I found what seems tobe a lump in my breast. I'm not even sure what would be considered a "lump" medically speaking. It is on the outer part of my breast, closer to my armpit. It feels like a small pebble in the tissue, but not in my skin. It isn't painful, but I definately panicked when I found it. Could it be cancer?

When I started to develope at around age 12 or 13, I noticed that my chest was kind of concaved. Now years later at age 24, it's defenently noticable. My chest was hurting for a while, so I went to the doctor, and they did breath tests on me, and said I was fine, but I don't feel fine, but my insurance won't cover corrective surgery if it's not a health concern to doctors. But it is to me. Surgery is too expensive you know? Anouther thing is is that I've always been very self consiouse about my chest, that it's hard to get close intimently with men. Some times they ask what's wrong with my chest, and it's really embarrasing to me. And I don't wear low cut shirts or bikinis like I want to because of it. I just don't know what else to do. I go to bed at night and cry about it, cuz I'm so ashamed. Got any suggestions?

I figure that I'm allergic to something that is in both root beer and oreos because I get a MAJOR migraine when I eat either. I try to stay away from them now. But does anyone know specifically what it could be that's in both foods that my body is allergic to? Are there even common ingredients?
