tea tree oil cured a persistent dose of thrush I had. None of the creams kept it away. I put a drop oil on a tampon and it cleared up.
I saw the cure in a aromatherapy book by Maggie Tisserand

invest in some Australian Bodycare Company pure tea tree oil, put some on damp cotton wool or your bath sponge and bathe with it. it's the best stuff in the world, cures everything except aids and cancer.
I'm not kidding either, I did product training at college and have recommended it to many people with very positive effects.
