I have psoriasis and a couple years ago I was diagonosed with psoriatic arthritis, however, (knock on wood ) my hands haven't bothered me for awhile. Anyway, my question is some of my nails have started to detach from my skin. The white part of my nails are now like halfway down my nail so there is little 'pink' left on my nail. My nails are only hangin on by like half the nail. I only have a few nails like this and when I accidently hit them on something it hurts so bad. I can barely knock them on something (which wouldn't hurt my other nails) and it really hurts these nails. I have looked up images online for psoriatic nails but they don't really look like that. My nails look healthy except for becoming increasingly white and slowly detaching. Have any of you experienced anything like this? I no longer have insurance so I cannot make it to the doctor now.

My sister who lives in Canada was diagnosed with hep a. We have not had any contact with her but although my parents went to visit her. Should we be tested since we have been in contact with my parents. And my parents do not know if they have yet in the process of being tested. Also if someone has Hep b or C can they give someone Hep A

doctor says my atrial fibrillation likely caused by longtime heartvalve problem. They are going to try an electrical jolt to kick heart back into r hythm. just wondered if anyone else out there has had the procedure, was it successful and how things went afterwards. I would like my life back, to be active again. Anybody's good e xperiences or bad ones will be equally welcome because I just want to assess my possibilities and hoping for the best outcome, but preparing for the worst, is equally important. So, anyone who can relate to this, with something to share, I'd like to hear from you.

Recently a friend of a friend overdosed on introvious drugs, this person is a 100% brain dead. They were declared dead last night. They are keeping him on life support because he is an organ donar his next of kin has asked that the "plug br pulled" can they keep him alive against the wishes of the family?

Would appreciate some serious medical opinions on this please! Since last Sunday, I have had pains in my chest (only on the left hand side directly in behind the breast) when I breathe in or out deeply. This just gone Sunday I came down with a really heavy cold and was in bed all day monday with a really high fever (I felt freezing but I was actually extremely warm to others). Today I struggled out of bed to Uni but I still feel terrible. I have a cough (which makes the chest pain hurt) and lots of horrible mucus stuff being pushed up. The chest pain has been sore for the whole time since last sun and does not feel better. Going to make appointment at Dr but earliest they can give me is Thursday. Was just wondering if anyone else has had this before or has medical training that can help me as I'm a bit worried it is something more serious! Thanks

Sometimes my skips a beat and it hurts and it's really scary! I went to the hospital last year and they said the EKG was normal, but then it happened again. It ususally occurs a few times a week. 6 months ago i had a heart attack, the doctor put a stent in the main arteriy, he put me on a med called Plavix he also has me taking 81mg of aspirn, last night i was reading on the web not to take aspirn with the Plavix, does anyone know anyting about it?

I ran into a girlfriend I have not seen in years and she told me she was dying of Aids. A disease she caught from unprotected sex. I'm in tears for her. Over the past 10-15 years that HIV / AIDS has become a worldwide epidemic, I've heard multiple "professionals" and "doctors" claim that HIV can not be transmitted by normal sexual relations: kissing, vaginal sex and oral sex. More specifically, they said that HIV/AIDS can only be transmitted by Anal Sex, explaining the high exposure of AIDS in the homosexual community.

So, my question is, can HIV /AIDS transmit during "normal" sex. I understand that blood transfusions, sharing needles, being born with it, are all ways to get it, but that still doesn't clear up this one big question.

Additionally, if you say it can be transmitted by normal sex, please reference a link on the Internet, study or case in which someone contracted the disease by "normal" sex.

Answering this question might help countless people so, please answer with thought and care. Thanks.
