Sit in a bath with oatmeal. Helps take away the itch ... but unfortunately only time will completely heal it.

Oatmeal dries up poison well... There are oatmeal based medicines over the counter. Coffee also works but not as well. Make a thick oatmeal base and cover it on the infected area and leave it on until dries. If it is a really large area on legs or just to big to cover than put a cup of oatmeal in a warm bath. and just set in it. When you get out of the tub lightly pat dry with a towel. Rubby alcohol also works but burns... I get poison yearly so I have tried pretty much everything and so far this is most affective. Continue oatmeal baths or spread until clears up.

Oh you poor person.
Check out my Q@A and see that I am suffering from the same thing.
I used Calimine lotion, Ivy dry, and a couple of other things. Ultimately I had to go to the doctor and get prescription medication called prednisone.

Good luck.

mix a bottle of Palmolive & mineral spirits/paint thinner 1/2 & 1/2
- mix well ... use this to wash affected area multiple times, dry then apply calomine....

the sap of poison ivy is not water soluble!!!!!! the spirits lift it & the suds put it in suspension & carry it away.

everything else you read ( cures ) is crap!
I looked like someone had beat me with a frying pan, suffered for 3 days, & was all better after this fix!!!

rub the affected area with rubbing alcohol, then rinse and wash with body soap, then finally apply plain table salt, this helps the itching and prevents it from spreading more =)
