My husband has been having severe pain, redness and swelling in his right foot.It has been diagnoised as gout.It has not responded at all to the usual treatments such as steroid injections,NSAIDs,cocholine or narcotic pain meds.Im begining to wonder if it is indeed gout. What else could it be? He has no visible openings in his skin that would led one to think of an infectious process. Any help would greatly be appreciated as we are at the end of our rope.

It started after my pregnancy ended. I'm not a big girl at all, but I get stinky really fast. I've tried using deoderant all day, washing with exfolients, washing with acne scrubs, and I don't know what to do. There seems like I should be able to fix it somehow!

my friend's mom died of esophageal cancer. she died 2 months after she was diagnosed. she wasnt a smoker/drinker. my friend said that there are more women in her family that had it. and her doctor told her it was highly hereditary

i looked it up on the computer and found out that black ppl are more likely to get it than white people (her family is white) and men get it more than women (women in her family had it) and it said that it wasnt known if it was hereditary. she has an aunt on her DADs side that was just diagnosed with it yesterday.

she is worried she will have it. any information i could share with her?

OK because we do have the doctor on my college campus and they can prescribe me some medicine but my college is away from home...soo the family I do have down here is a cousin and a couple uncles who lives down here in the same city. My cousin though is the one i call cause he's around to pick me up and take me places. BUT he wont be available during the day to take me to the pharmacy and get my prescription. I need a remedy that I can make with stuff I can find on a college campus.

A while ago my wife was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. The Doctors are all very vague about everything. From what I've read, EVERYONE with Ewing's dies eventually - Is 5 years the limit and she has a 70-80% chance of making it, or is there a chance she can live another 30 or 40 years (she's only 27)? - Please Only Answer If You Really Know What You're Talking About!

Dad has colon cancer and the meds are outragious in cost-- folks are on a fixed income-SSI- need info on free meds to help with pain management. Nothing else to be done, just; keep him comfortable. Lollipops??????? They cost $50 co-pay for six, guess the 7th day is a pain day. He also has 75mg patches with the same expense. How are we to keep him relatively pain free. Meds are supposed to work for 72hrs. (the patch) but it only lasts for 12/15 hours. Let's see,, he has the patches, oxycontin, and the new lollipops. Meds have been doubled and tripled and still has very bad pain-- Lord I just wish someone would come up with a way to cover the costs. Any pharmacutical companies offer help with this?? The sites I have tried have no info. I am NOT computer litterate!! This is extremely hard and slow going but worth it if the info is available. Thankyou in advance to anyone who can help!

My boyfriend has developed a skin problem. He scratches at his inner thigh a lot...and that area looked like the skin had hardened (or does people call that scaling of the skin?). When I asked, he said it's because of friction from his underwear and it feels especially uncomfortable when he sweats. I think it must be real itchy...cause I saw some cuts. He must have scratched till it bled. It breaks my heart to see it like this. Does anyone has any idea what it is? Oh...he's 19, loves sports ( plays it a few times a week, pretty active guy). Please help....I dunno what I can do or what he should do. I've asked him to apply vaseline...
