he is relativly healthy....i.e. never smoked and does not drink.. he does have diabeties..does not take insulin shots...he is 45 pounds overweight...what can we expect for recovery time (without complications).he was told his valve has two flaps insted of three. was born with this defect,.he is a-syptomatic at this time..he has loud heartones, and dr. noticed a thrill when listening to his neck last month. the cardiologist doesnt know when he should have the surgery done because he has no bad symptoms; occasionaly he tires out and rests often ...what is a average hospital stay and home recovery time.. do they approch the heart threw sternum and do they stop his heart..i know some surgeries they don't stop the heart anymore..what is the average time in operating room etc..i only expect times etc..without complications..i thank you very much..my husband really needs to read your answers as he wont read up on it on his own--and i know he has concerns and wont ask anyone for advise..

Fatigue accompanied with a WBC of 4.4 the first of May to 3.7 the end of August with an elevated lymphocyte count of 4.4...does anyone know if this is something to be concerned about?

What do you do to combat this side effect? I am tired of this weak squeaky voice and chronic sore throat. I limit my use of Advair because of this to once every couple of days instead of 2 times a day, but still the voice problem and mild sore throat come and go for days.

What is epilepsy and what is the treatment for it I do take medication I do suffer from migraines as well. I have grand mal seizures. I also have petti Mal and partical seizures. What are all the treatmeats for my condition.

I have had sexual contact with someone who has HPV, and I didn't find out until later. We used condoms, but due to the nature of how it spreads I'm not exactly confident with that alone. I've shown no signs of HPV, but if I'm a carrier I would sure like to know it. Is there a blood test, or any other test I can take to determine my HPV status?

I am on birth control and I smoke cigs, I know this increases the chance of blood clots already and its bad, so please hold the lectures. Anyway, I banged my leg the other day and developed a pretty nasty black and blue. Now my whole leg feels a little achy and weak like I exercised a ton and its strained. Is that a symptom of a blood clot??

And it is hard to breathe. My mom had her
gallbladder taken out several years ago. I have been taking antacids to see if that helps but it hasn't. I don't drink or smoke.

My father is losing blood and his father died from Leukemia. He has been diagnosed with being anemic and has been sent to a Hemotoligist for further testing. The Dr. wants him to have a colonoscopy and lightescope done and if that doesn't show anything then they want a bone marrow done. My question is this is losing blood a sign of leukemia ? I am in the med field and I know what the major signs of leukemia is and understand alot of the things that are going on but not sure about the blood loss. Can you help or even stir me in the right direction?

I get them alot..When i get out of the family car..Get up from class, when i laydown to long..erh my vision gets all black and ive faitned 3 times!! And 1 time i had a Seizer..and its not as bad now, but i still have them everyday. ( not seizers...the headrushes)..I am very underweight.. but ive been tested for diabetes 1 week from my seizer and i dont got diabetes, so whats wrong with me? ( BTW- not sure if this will help but im 14yrs old)

We ate the pizaa yesterday for lunch and he went to work, and around 6 he started feeling bad (he ate the other leftover pieces), so then he started feeling nauseus,cold sweat, and then he said he vomited and he felt better.
