We ate the pizaa yesterday for lunch and he went to work, and around 6 he started feeling bad (he ate the other leftover pieces), so then he started feeling nauseus, cold sweat, and then he said he vomited and he felt better. For me, my stomach hurt a bit yesterday after I ate the pizza, but that was it. I tought that heat killed the bacteria? ... What should we do?

he probably got sick from the left overs, thats why you didn't get sick because you ate it when it was freshly baked. Bacteria could have gotten on the pizza after it was baked by whoever made it or served it and it didnt have time to multiply when you ate it so your body killed it, but the next day when he ate it they had plenty of time to grow a huge colony and attack his body. You shouldn't worry about it unless the symptoms go on for too long. How long that is exactly I don't know, but you can look it up in about two minutes on webmd. Since there's this thing with ecoli related sicknesses going around, you may want to read up on that and then call your doctor if it looks like you or he have the symptoms. Once again, webmd will have that information. When it comes to health, better safe than sorry. Sorry you got food poisoning.

I would def go see a doctor... this can KILL you and the earlier it is detected the better. Also you should find out where the pizza place gets their spinach.

This is no laughing matter. Ignore the other people and see a doctor. Only go to an emergency room if it is actually an emergency, if you can... see a doctor, even in life threatening situations, if you can see a doctor and avoid the ER those bastard bean counters at your insurance will deny your claim and make you pay for it.

If you're feeling fine now, I wouldn't worry about it. You're correct about heat killing germs, but if it didn't get hot enough to kill the bacteria, back to square one. Definitely don't eat any fresh or bagged spinach.

Keep an eye on how you're feeling, temperature, etc. for the next couple of days. But, I think if you're feeling okay now, you should be in the clear.

Probably not since it was cooked, but it's a concern for sure. You could talk to almost any pharmacist and ask them if the e-coli virus can survive the temps that a pizza would be cooked at for the duration it is cooked. You'll probably be fine, but you have to watch what you are eating!

Be careful!

Might just be a stomach virus. The spinach was cooked, so I don't think it was the spinach.

the spinach has to be cooked at 145* or higher to kill off E.Coli. If you both are feeling fine now, then it was probably nothing.

If you both feel better today, then fine. I wouldn't eat anything with spinach from a restaurant--since you don't know where they got it from.

I wouldn't be concerned unless you ate an uncooked pizza.
