My doctor is pressuring me to have a radiation procedure done. This is not something that I am interested in. Is there anyone who has a thyroid condition that is being maintained well with drugs? Or would it be better to have it obliterated? I dont really know what to do. Thanks for the help.

Has anyone ever had a LOT of pain in the pelvic area due to a bulged disc? I have been to many doctors, but am still having problems. I had doctored for several years and several doctors, finding out I did have this bulged disc and possibly IBS, after having a lot of tests. Finally after several years of not getting a pat answer it was discovered I had endometriosis. I have since had a complete hysterectomy, which I felt great for about 6 months.
I am now once again faced with a great deal of pain, and getting worse as time goes on. I do very little anymore to strain my back, I have been treated with IBS medicine which only made my pelvic/abdomin area more painful, been to 3 doctors again, with still no answers Is it my back? Has the bulge suddenly started pinching a nerve? That doc is next, but can a back cause this much pain in my pelvic/ab area? Is it my bowels? Can't really be female issues as there is nothing left..WHAT COULD IT BE..

I read some information that I'm not sure if I interpreted correctly. I'm under the impression that diabetes can be caused by eating too many foods high on the glycemic load scale like sugar and white flour and "overworking" your organs that deal with regulating blood sugar levels. Is this true or what?

For the past 6 months I have had increasingly more difficulty swallowing food. It started off as just some discomfort as the food went down, and would go away as soon as I washed it down with water. In the last 2 months however it has become dangerously serious. I have choked on 3 different occasions, and one of the times was near passing out from lack of oxygen before a stranger was able to clear my airway with the heimlich maneuver. The only way I can eat without problems now is by drinking something everytime I swallow, taking very small bites, and chewing my food as much as possible before swallowing. I have a Doctors appointment in a couple days but was hoping that maybe someone might have an idea of what this could be.

Hi, My wife has the above symptoms. She didn't want to post anything but I figure.. hey.. nothing too lose at this point.

O.k. She has had a good work up from her Dr. and Coronary Specialist. Thallium test(spelling?), Cornary CTA and so far negitive from any obvious symptoms, EKG'S. Cholesterol is good etc.. all looks good. Not much stress in her life right now and only works part time.

She doesn't have pain when she exercises (fast walking).. just when she relax's ... not every time.. just once in awhile. The pain in the jaw left arm etc.. so I have too be concerned.. besides... yea... *here it comes... no snuggly in the bed while she is having problems so it is better for all of us...( that means me)... that we get this resolved so I am looking for any thoughts that you may have that we can research.

We are learning as we go and just trying to gather info. so we can make better decisions about future treatment decisions.

I have a very interesting looking set of dry, a little darker toned patches of skin on my leg. It doesn't itch, but if I scratch it, it seems a little bit tender, but doesn't really hurt. It's like maybe light pinkish maybe at darkest. I have had it for a while. Anyone know what it might be?

so i was running...
i tripped...
and i was all bloody.

i scraped my knee on the sidewalk..
when i tried to clean my battle wound..
there was black stuff ( like little black things ) ( i think from the sidewalk) but i cant get them out.
if i leave them in there, will the come out ?
or is there a possibility it would get infected?
