I used to have really bad acne too and I tried all the "home" remedies, and a lot of over-the-counter ones, and none of it ever worked. The only thing that worked for me, without actually having to go to a dermatologist-which is always an option you can consider-was Proactiv Solution. It's worth the money. I know I sound like an infomercial but the stuff really does work and it saved my social life!

Good luck!

I totally live by proactive it's the best stuff that I have found. I don't get to many zits anymore because I'm now 29 but I still use proactive just because I want my skin to be as perfect as I can get it. I'm telling you you'll love it it's great and totally worth the cost. Ask your mom or boyfriend to buy it then you can clear up your skin and avoid the the cost.

My daughter had fairly bad acne and she started using some products from Mary Kay - I think they are called Velocity. Totally worked for her, NO zits anymore, worked great!

Also, she had tried the acne products from Clinique which worked also, but a little expensive.

well, number one you need to check what you eat. At least how you eat. Wash your hands before you touch your face and whatnot. Stay away from fried foods/etc.

I wash my face in the shower daily with soap, and Neutrogena Acne-Free Daily Facewash. It's orange. It's awesome, although kinda expensive. I have no acne though. Just wash your face a lot.

It might just be hormonal. You might have to see a dermatologist.

One day when my cousin was about 16-17 I went to his house and his face was covered with zits. He stayed like that for about a year. Then after a year they were all gone. I never mentioned it, and neither did he. Although now he's a freak about washing his face. He takes longer than his girlfriend to get ready.

you are able to attempt an asprin blend. I had a horrid one on my cheek and it did the trick. earlier you bypass interior the bathe take somewhat tiny cup (i used a liquid measuring cup featuring nyquil) and positioned 2 asprin in there like motrin or advil (no longer gelcaps or ones in a plastic casing) and then upload a tiny little bit of water so as that they dissolve. Then take a tub and whenyou get out prepare the paste with a q-tip. bypass away it on for as long as achieveable and then gently wipe off with a heat washcloth. proceed to do this as in many situations as you are able to until the its long previous. desire it helps!!

Most over the counter products have "Benzol Peroxide" Which worked for me SOME of the time. However, products containing "Salasitc Acid" (for example Clean & Clear Advatage) I found worked WONDERS for me.

Before you spend a lot of money, be reassured that the vast majority of acne can be treated easily and effectively. True, some cases require expensive products, but most don't.

How about seeing a dermatologist? They can tell you the source of your problem and give you a personalized treatment plan. All commercial/over-the-counter products don't work for everyone.
