Five months ago today my precious dad died at 65.5 years old. He told me a few days before, "I don't think I have much longer to live." I hugged him, singing, "No, papa, you're going to live; It's too soon to ever say goodbye." I said, "You're supposed to say, "Forbid me now to die, I'll obey, I will try...But you didn't like the second act, did you?" "No," he said, "It should've ended on the barricades."
The last day he lived. he went out to golf, but came right back. We went to the pool and had many wonderful conversations, he made us his speciality, pizza, asked if it was the best ever, and my kids said YES! One son spontaneously sang dad a folk tune dad'd taught me -Drink all the water you can hold, wash your face and soothe your feet, but leave the bottle full for others... We also played a fav game of the kids. He made our last visit perfect in every way... My question, if he knew, why didn't he get to ER? What does it mean that some men know they're going to die?

My grandfather has Dementia, and I want to know if it will get progressivly worse the way Alzheimer's does. Sometimes he forgets who I am, but after a few minutes he eventually comes around and remembers. Well recently he would remember who I am, but a few minutes later he forgets again. He goes through that cycle over and over, which he didn't do before. Or, even worse when I visit him he has no clue who I am at all, from the start. He doesn't know me, and he doesn't eventually remember like he usually does. Is this a permanent occurance, or will he eventually remember me again. Is it like Alzheimer's where, once he reaches a certain point he won't come back, or is this just a phase in his condition. Basically, right now he doesn't know who I am and I want to know if he will remember eventually, or will he never know who I am again. I talk to him a lot, he is a very important person in my life, and I need to know if I will get him back, will he know who I am, and will he remember.

I have suffered with rosacea for several years and have been to no less than four dermotologists. Prescribed creams and lotions do not seem to do much, if any, good.
