more than likely he has some type of infection. he needs to go to the doc and get antibiotics and if he is already taking them then you probably aren't doing his dosage right. and he needs to take them as prescribed until they are all gone.

Do you realize how many, many things can cause fever in a 2year old? Need more information... when does the fever occur - morning/evening, any particular pattern; is it relieved by medications, what medications have you been using and with what resullts, how high is the fever usually? What other symptoms are there - cough, runny nose, vomitting, weight loss, chest pain, abdominal pain, red eyes, ear pain, headache, rash - where, what kind, since when? Has he taken all his vaccinations up to date? Did he have any other illnesses? Does anyone else in the family have the same?
Please do take the child to the doctor so you can give the doc the answers to these questions and more so that the appropriate tests can be done and a diagnosis can be made so that your brother will get ok.

Some causes of the fever:
Bacterial Infection - can be treated with antibiotics
Viral illness - ranging from a mild flu to measles, etc
Parasitic infections
tropical illnesses like dengue, typhoid, malaria, yellow fever etc
Ear infections, Pneumonia, Tonsillitis, Scarlet fever, meningitis, Rheumatic fever........
The list is endless.Considering that the child is only 2yrs old, please do take him to the doc. It may be just the flu, needing no treatment except for simple rest, but little children are so susceptible to illness that until other causes are ruled out - and you can provide more detailed info - do take him to a doc. High fever can have a number of complications in a young child - seizures, epilepsy, and even brain damage.

It is most probably an infection of some kind. My 2 year old daughter just got over tonsilitis, and her only symptom was having a persistant, high fever that lasted 2 days before we took her to the doctor. He prescribed an antibiotic, and she got better. You should definitely take him to a doctor right away, especially since it's been going on for at least a couple of weeks now.

Could be an ear infection however it could be molds in the walls.
If it is reoccuring and cant find why, check your house, carpet ect.
believe it or not the things growing in your house affect alot of symptoms. He could also be teething again, this causes slight fevers also. Anyway get him checked out asap.

it could be a reccuring infection, it could be allergies, it could be something else. I'd recommend a trip to the doctor.
