My dad is 74 years old, with diabetis, high blood pressure, and has gone through 2 heart engio-plasty. Both of his kidneys are damaged. He is going through dialysis right now three days a week. Is TRANSPLANT a good decision for him right now regarding his other diseases ? What are the chances

If he can get one it is probably a good idea, but really you should be talking to the professionals. However, given his age and his conditions, I think it is unlikely that he will be a good candidate, therefore it is less likely he will be high on the list for transplants.. but talk to the doctors you never know.... good luck hun and you and your father are in my prayers :)

Have u thought of what your dad wants. Speak to him then go speak to the people in the know. Of course there will be a waiting list. My dad passed away a month ago with near enough the same complaints and all he wanted was to see his last days out with his family and he died holding my mothers hand. He is out of pain and yes we do miss him. Speak to your dad first! To be honest and i am not a Doctor your dads chances does not sound very good.
