Five months ago today my precious dad died at 65.5 years old. He told me a few days before, "I don't think I have much longer to live." I hugged him, singing, "No, papa, you're going to live; It's too soon to ever say goodbye." I said, "You're supposed to say, "Forbid me now to die, I'll obey, I will try...But you didn't like the second act, did you?" "No," he said, "It should've ended on the barricades."
The last day he lived. he went out to golf, but came right back. We went to the pool and had many wonderful conversations, he made us his speciality, pizza, asked if it was the best ever, and my kids said YES! One son spontaneously sang dad a folk tune dad'd taught me -Drink all the water you can hold, wash your face and soothe your feet, but leave the bottle full for others... We also played a fav game of the kids. He made our last visit perfect in every way... My question, if he knew, why didn't he get to ER? What does it mean that some men know they're going to die?

the same thing happened with my grandpa. One day he go up too quickly and got dizzy, so a friend helped him sit down again and asked him if he was ok. he said 'you know, i dont think i'm going to be around much longer' and the very next morning he had a stroke and died.

in his case, he probably knew that he was just old, and that it was his time. he was a quiet man, enjoyed a simple life and didnt like to be fussed over. i dont think he wanted to go to the hospital, he didnt want to drag it out and be miserable and make us all worry.

if you knew you were going to die, and thought it was your time, would you rather spend it with family, being happy, or laying in a hospital bed, waiting for the inevitable and making your loved ones worry.?

I cant speak for your father, but I bet thats what my grandpa thought.

Just be thankful he didnt suffer, and be happy that your last visit was so wonderful. he obviously loved you a lot. you're so lucky to have such a great father. (i say 'have' not 'had' because he's still your father. i hate using the past tense)

i still believe i have the greatest grandpa in the world. :0) nothing will ever change that.

the purely people I genuinely have prevalent which may be issue to a heart attack from ghosts is those who connect paranormal study communities for the buzz and to be scared. it really is one reason I disbanded my crew and now look into on my own with the aid of lots of my crew contributors being scared even as there became no reason. therefore in my opinion in this difficulty it truly is the man themselves who supply themselves a heart attack for being so fearful of issues they don't have any reason to worry. I doubt a real ghost sighting will reason a heart attack, or maybe if so it does not take position very oftentimes in any respect. maximum folk won't be able to see ghosts and those those who can oftentimes at the prompt are not terrified of them. not something to be terrified of particularly ghosts are only people without bodies.

I have heard that sometimes people can predicted there death. Maybe he wasn't feeling well and deep down he knew his time was coming near for him to meet our wonderful father from above. I'm sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through I lost my precious father 2 1/2 years ago to a massive heart attack and he was only 67. I think he kind of felt his time was near too. I remember my mom telling him gosh viejo in a couple of more years we will be married for 50 years and he told her yes till death do us part. He said that about 4 months before his passing. So I do believe some people know. But they are both in heaven and watching over us. Just remember to acknowledge your fathers presences when you hear is spirit in your home watching over you. They may be gone in sight but with us in spirit. God Bless you and your family!

I can't speak specifically to "knowing" you're going to die but one symptom which is used to differentiate between chest pain from a heart attack and pain caused from something else is a feeling that you are going to die. If you feel this way they will look a lot closer at the heart. It is supposed this feeling is generated from the brain which is signaling for help as the pain could be life threatening.

I have had premonitions of my own. that have came true. I have had one for a few weeks now, that i would wind up homeless. and the first of September i will be. My sister and her brother are breaking up and i have been staying with them since i had my lung removed from cancer. There is nowhere for me to go. and my disability isn't enough to live on my own. what money i tucked away for my senior years disappeared after my surgery. so this is one also that will be coming true. but i have face a lot worse. and it will not beat me. just set me back once again.

This is very common. My Grandfather never actually told me he KNEW he was going to die, but called me over to his House one day and gave me his Baseball Card Collection, and his Medals from WWII. He told me he trusted I would take care of them in case something were to "happen to him" in the future.

He died 36 hours later.
