Hi,a friend of minehad unprotected sex, Saturday last week, today is Tuesday and he doesn't don't know if it's his idea, or what, but today he woke up and i've heard that swollen lymph nodes are a common HIV symptom, and he said that he touch his neck and he feels a little "ball" right next to his chin and a little below, on his left side of the neck...but only 1 week has gone by,,, does this mean he is infected?

I came down with bacterial Meningitis in feb of this year i still have trouble with my back hurting and feeling dizy and by eyes dont focous to good but i did not have the symptoms with my eyes untill jsut the last month or so. and i get very tired no matter what i do or how much seelp i get. hope someone out there can help. the doctors said 6 months to a year?

It was brought on by either a bacterial or viral infection. I had white spots on the back of my throat for about a week in the beginning. Eventually those went away, but not before this one night.. one side of my throat hurt so bad when I woke up the next morning I probably spit up an ounce of blood. I have been to 3 different doctors, been on two different antibiotics & prilosec, but nothing seems to be working. The severe pain and white spots have been gone for a while, but the glands on both sides of my neck are always swollen. Right now I just have this swollen feeling in the back of my throat. Like I said before, this has lasted for 6 weeks now. The weird thing is that I haven't had a fever one time since then. PLEASE HELP!

My 3yr is a 22weeker and also has ADHD. SHE been though a g-tub to help her gain wight, and did not work. last year doc had it remove. But now she still not eating, at all, little bites like corn or cookies, icecream, chips, all kinds of pastas. she is also blind from her right eye from birth. My grabdfather is 86 years old and has had skin cancer for a few years. He has recently had surgery to remove 2 basil cell carcinomas and just had one of those surgerys where they go in with ink and they test to see which lymph nodes the cancer has metastasized to. They removed 3 lymph nodes and then stopped. (they went in on his forhead) The doctors said that he can either go back in and continue removing lymph nodes, or he can go for another round of the drug, interferon. The other option that we're entertaining is if he doesn't opt for any of the choices, and just lets it go. He's a strong man, who walks on his own...does everything for himself. However, the past few surgeries he's had have taken him a while to recover from. What do you suggest we do? Does anyone know the prognosis of stage 3 melenoma, if he were to not treat it at all? I'm interested in any advice, or comments about the situation. Again he's 86 years old, soon to be 87. Thanks!
