Are there any inexpensive or natural ways to clense the body from regular (greater than 6 days a week) marijuana usage? I've heard everything from drinking pickle juice to ways to cheat using someone else's urine, but I'm open to any suggestion.

I was in the hospital last month with Pneumonia. I was admitted and had to stay there for a week. The doctors had me on high doses of Levaquin and Predisone and I was on oxygen. I also have asthma so they were giving me Ventilin treatments as well. The same day I got discharged I ended up going back that same night and getting admitted again because of shortness of breath. They couldn't understand why. They said maybe stress at home. I have 3 children. But they didn't give me anything to calm my nerves. I think I was having anxiety/panic attacks. Since I've been home I'm still taking Predisone I'm down to two 5mg pills a day along with Symbicort (inhaled powder for asthma) twice daily. I recently went back to the hospital again for shortness of breath and the doctor in the ER prescribed Avelox. After reading the printed out information sheet I'm not sure if I should take it. It states in capital letters ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION if you're taking Prednisone. Safe?

I have the following symptoms: sore, dry throat, runny nose, watery eyes, and fever. I really need, however, a remedy for the sore, dry throat because it's making me have coughing fits which make it embarrassing for me in front of my colleagues. I can't take any more sick days off, and have to return to work ASAP. Any suggestions?

I have a friend that says a chiropractor helped him with his headaches and neck pain, but I'm skeptical. I have similar problems and experience headaches regularly due to stress and, in some cases, not a good night's sleep. Tylenol and Advil help, but there's got to be something I can do to keep this from happening so often.

What is it that chiropractors do that is so different from a medical doctor?

As we are going to Australia next year, I think it would be a good idea if he could work with that.

I have a severe case of psoriasis on my foot that is almost always there, it goes into remission but then flares up and spreads to my legs. It is very embarrassing and very very painful. My doc has given me steroids in both oral and topical form. The oral stuff works at taking it away but then it just comes back when I quit taking it, and the side effects are terrible. does anyone know about homeopathy? would it work for me? what kind of homeopathic treatment or other natural remedy would you suggest? Thanks so much for the advise, I don't know anything about homeopathy!

My daughter has a nasty cough. At this point in time, it's early in the cycle of the cold, and there is no fever. Taking her to a doctor this early is only going to result in a cough medicine recomendation; or more likely being told that cough medicine really does nothing anyway (pediatrician has said this many times). They'll tell me to give her lots of liquids, lots of rest, and she should be fine soon. If the cough persists or gets worse, bring her back.
So that being said, she's got the medicine already, which isn't working very well. Is there a food with the natural benefit of being a cough supressant?
I just want to help her feel a bit better if I can.
Thank you for all your answers!

Suppose you had cancer or some other life threatening illness, would you alternative remedy people seek out homeopathic treatment? How can we encourage more mystics, psychics, nut-jobs, faith healers, etc to use only homeopathic remedies for serious illness so as to rid oursevles of these frauds? And don't you think there should be a law passed requiring homeopaths to use pnly their own remedies when faced with a life threatening sickness?
