I have a friend that says a chiropractor helped him with his headaches and neck pain, but I'm skeptical. I have similar problems and experience headaches regularly due to stress and, in some cases, not a good night's sleep. Tylenol and Advil help, but there's got to be something I can do to keep this from happening so often.

What is it that chiropractors do that is so different from a medical doctor?

i go to a chirpiractor for many things, headaches included, and have done for about 20 years, if your spine needs adjustment it could be pressing on a nerve and causing pain, find a reputable one and go for it, i guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised.
(have taken my children since they were babies and always got good results!)

Actually, yes... I've heard that it definitely helps. Your spinal cord is, of course, packed with nerves that send impulses to your brain. Taking some pressure from such nerves would definitely help relieve of some pain.

And be careful how much Tylenol and Advil you take. It's fine for short term pain relief, but long term usage could eventually take a toll on your kidney and liver.

You might think I'm nuts telling you this.

Go to a foot doctor & have custom shoe inserts made for you feet. I had back & neck problems & a friend suggested her foot doctor.

What happens is that your back & neck get gradual correction from increased adjustment of your foot inserts. After 6 months you will be a pain-free happy camper.
