6 weeks ago I injured my foot. No fracture. Lisfranc sprain its called and now I'm in a black boot thing. I was only having having minimal pain before the boot it had been so long but after only half a day now of this thing I took it off to drive my son somewhere and it hurt like hell!!!!

I took Celexa 20 mg for about 6 weeks with no help it only made me feel very sleepy. So my family doc. put me on 75 mg of effexor XR. I just was woundering if it takes a little while for this medication to work. I just wish I could find something to make me feel "NORMAL" again. Any help or suggestions would really be appreciated. It seems a matter of course that impacted wisdom teeth be removed in the modern age. What did people do historically about such tooth problems? Did severe abscesses routinely claim lives? Did people resort to pulling or knocking out their own teeth when in severe pain?

I am a type 2 diabetic who has just started using meds (15mg Actos daily) after many years of being diagnosed. Is it possible to ever get off of meds, if you lose weight and exercise? I've lost quite a bit of weight over the years, but still have some to go before I get to my goal weight. Serious answers only, please. Thanks!
