If there are any medications you are on, the flow of your period changes ver rapidly. If it is just on month that this happens, then it is a very short period span-just starting it may last up to 3 days to a week depends on your body. All the blood is is the lining or the uterus, after the body realizes that there is no baby yet, then it "sheds" your young, you may look forward to it now, because your growing up, but belive me when i say, the older you get the heavier the flow!

You might be having mid-cycle spotting associated with ovulation. This is very normal and may or may not happen every cycle. I wouldn't be too worried, this is very normal,
