So today I took a nasty fall on my bike. Thank god I was wearing a helmet. Anyway I landed on my head and my arm, but my side hurts underneath my arm. Breathing doesn't hurt unless its a really deep breath. If I had cracked ribs would the pain be excruciating or is it possible for them to just be a little uncomfortable.

Will I be deformed if I wait for a day to see the doctor if they were broken?

a teenager on my sons bus threatened to shank them and I was told by the assistant principal that now ,"shanking means to pants another person" I am now dropping my kids off at school and picking them up in the afternoon because I don't feel that it is safe for them to ride the bus.

I have a Mobile Gall Stone 1.4 cm. Not sure yet what will be done about it. Have appointment on monday to find out. I heard that removing Gall bladder is an option. May be only option. I don't know. But..What are the pros and cons to removing Gall bladder?
Anyone with personal experience?

My partner has a lump in her breast and she has had it for about 3 and 1/2 months now. She has been to the doctors for a second time this week as it hurts her, he has told her that she has to wait for about another 6 weeks before a test. Is this the norm as she is prepared to wait. Her mother passed away 8 months ago with breast cancer and it just seems a long time to wait. Any proffessional advice please. Nick

I have been laying on the couch for 3 days now. I cannot kick this illness. I thought it was the flu at first--I had a fever, chills, body aches, etc....but then my throat is VERY swollen--with white pockets on my tonsils. I have a massive headache also. Is there any remedy that I should try? I have been taking vitamins, drinking water, and I have only eatin half a thing of yogurt. It hurts to swallow and just move period. Any suggestions?

im 14 and i use tampons as they are easier than pads. my mum is a nurse and she disapproves of them coz she says im too young and that they can give you dangerous shocks but i think shes only saying this to scare me out of it so is it true??

if it is i hav never had any 'shocks' and if i do is it lik electric shocks and is it life threatening?

Just wondering. Everyone is depressed. Why? Because parents teach their children fairy tales! Happy Ever After? Get Married, Have kids, White Picket Fence? Then when your an adult, your disappointed that you failed to met these goals set upon you! Wouldn't people live their lives better and be less despressed if parents taught their kids the reality of life upfront instead of hidding behind fairy tale stories? Realistic expectations brings realistic goals and realistic statifaction in our lives! Tell me why you agree or disagree. Need some insight into my theory!

i know i have a problem but i just can't get over the fact that when i feel my stomach or when i look in a mirror i see a chubby stomach. and i hate it. alot. my thighs uhh i hate them so much. i really do. the only time my ribs show is when i stretch back. you can see my ribs on my back but idk ... the other parts of me i think are fat. i've been working out 2 and a half hours a day for the last week and im hoping this is going to help. is that fat or normal weight? i do eat ... id say normally. but i just don't know. i really hate my stomach and thighs. i can't stand getting on the scale everyday and not losing weight after doing all that exercise. WHEN WILL I START SEEING RESULTS? oh yeah and i do this 6 days a week. rest on sunday.

im wondering if free flowing toxins in the bloodsteam get collected in the stomach where they are either destroyed by the gastrointestinal acid of expelled during vomitting. It seems that when i drink green tea (a powerful antioxidant) i usually vomit within 30 mins. but feel alot better mentally and physically soon after. Theres got to be some explanation for this reaction.
