(before i explain things, i want everyone to know i'm not like all of the other whinny little teenagers claiming they are "depressed" because it seems it's become a fad of some sort.)i'm only seventeen and fresh out of high school and idon't see the point to life anymore. i'm angry all the time, i cry a lot and i just can't be happy. i wan't to be content and carefree like i used to be... on top of all things i get panic attacks like really often, i don't want to take drugs but therapy isn't cutting it for me...help? (only serious answers, please)

ive been having massive headaches behind my left eye for over a month now, this is the second time this has happened to me, my doctor gavce me naproxin to try, is it spose to work right away liek adivil or does it take a couple days before it does effect?

For the past few days I have experienced some unusual sharp severe pains shooting thur the side of my head, on both sides. The pains come all of a sudden and last a few minutes.

Okay, I've checked online and stuff, but most of what i find in regards to this specifically is only "it varies per age and person." Which doesn't help.
So, here's my question:
I was wondering, if someone got HIV at a young age (let's say 7-9) and it went undetected for about 10 years, when it was detected, would it be full blown AIDS? Or advanced HIV w/ symptoms? Or is this scenario just not likely at all?

My sons father told me he was A.D.H.D., Low Impulse Control, Accessive Compulsive personality and he has alcoholism...which i already know the answer to alcoholism. But is the rest genetic or not?

i went to the doctor today becuase of knee problems. it hurts when i walk and it grinds and pops. it will sometimes lock-up or give out. i expecially hurts when i use stairs. the orthapedic doctor said that my knee cap and ligaments are not lined up. he gave me a little knee support that goes right under the knee cap to hold it in place for when i play sports. and ordered physical therapy. it's the kind of thing that has just gotten worse over time - there was never any sudden injurty. now i don't think that the support is helping at all and i don't think the diagnosis is correct. he also wouldn't prescribe any pain medication when i ask for it, he just told me to take 3 advil, which has never worked in the past and i told him that. he said that if it doesn't get better in 6 WEEKS, to go back to have an MRI, that seems like a wery long time! should i get a seccond oppinion

I have a pain in my right lower back, i have MAJOR and frequent pain during urination and i feel like ive got to pee pretty often. I know its either a kidney, bladder, or urinary tract infection im not sure which but i want to know if i wait will it get better, or if i wait will it get worse. I am pretty much unable to go to the doctors for quite a while and i just dont want it to get serious.

I keep experiencing these little "tugs" in my lower abdomen that feel a lot like someone pulling taffy inside of me. It's not a "pain" persay, just a nagging sort of tugging. That is the only way that I can describe it. We had had nightmares conceiving and finally it's worked. I am excited and yet find that I can't really even be happy yet for all the fears I have of something going wrong. I am completely, and irrationally perhaps, afraid of it ending up being an eptopic pregnancy, or having a miscarriage before the 12 week mark, etc. I have read that it's somewhat normal to feel strange things down there as the uterus begins to change, etc. I was just wondering if anyone has had this experience and could shed some light on it for this first time mom. Thanks.

well i read other questions about the check up or the exam and i sorta of understand...not really if someone could tell me what happens, but really what i want to know is that Im a young girl 14 and i bet that you're probably thinking that i dont need to go see a gynecologist (apparently from someone's anwser who said you should see one if you're 18 and older) but what if i think i should see one anyways. im guessing at my age it would be different. the reason i want to see a gynecologist is because well....I have questions about ...that area (yeah i cant really be more mature about this) anyways i wanted to know whats wrong with me. plz tell me what you think and ur advice and just in case so you know i havent had sex yet really dont want anyone thinking that i did at my age.

OK....my uncle's mother who is in her 70s live upstairs my house...my whole family is in the basement because it's better and fresh. She just came from long Island, and there is freaking no air up there, and it's like 110 degrees upstairs, she just turned on her fan that blows hot air, and she said she's fine, she just said that because she thinks she would bother us, but it's not true, what do I do??? My mom tried to tell her and she's too stuborn...my mom just told me 'she's not a baby, I told her millions of times to come down and she said no'.....HOW AM I SUPPOSED to sleep tonight, knowing an elderly woman may suffer from heat exhaustion or a heat stroke while i'm sleeping..HOW???

I wanted to get one of my moles removed, but have no idea where I can get it done for under 100 dollars. I have heard of places where it can be done for this cheap, but don't know where to start looking. It has to be under 100. Does anyone know of a place. I live around Chino Hills.
