Naproxin is a compounding agent. It works better over time for a chronic condition. Its an Ibuprofen product.

Depending on the "type of source" the headaches this medication may not work for you.... sorry.

Tension- get a professional massage on your neck.upper back and head to help with that pain. This may be painful at first, then it will get better, to relieve muscles in that area to increase blood flow to your head ( aka relieve pain)

Hormones & Migraines & Cluster Headaches need to get medical attention each will be treated differently. MRI may be needed, a more serious underlying condition could be the concern.

Blood sugar/ low sugar or diabetes as an issue, these extremes can cause some killer headaches.

Try this home remedy for your discomfort, place a hot/warm moist towel around your neck, and small ice pack on your forehead for 10 minutes then remove the heat and then remove the cold pack, repeat this for about 30 minutes and see if that helps release the pain. This is alternative hot/cold hydrotherapy often used by professionals to in a non-medicated field.

Best wishes- Hope you feel better fast!

Pain behind the left eye has haunted me every summer for about four years. I' ve tried everything i could find. Migrain relief, Sinus relief , and Naproxin. To no or little avail.
The only thing that i've found that helps me, is Zicam Nasal Gel (Intense Sinus Relief). This product is and has been a Godsend for me. The End.

I take it for arthritis. About 30 mins, but naproxin is an antiimflammatory medicine. Get another opinion
