No offense but scientifically speaking we are NOT created to be immortal so without bringing in religion this question cannot be answered.

Since I think all things are possible and/or a possibility, I therefore believe it could be achieved, but first humans would have to alter their belief systems to accept it as a possibility. In other words if you think you can run a marathon then you can, if you think you cannot then you cannot. However science would have to gain the technology or man would have to gain the technology or means by which we could slow the aging process to almost a complete stop or living forever would mean our physical bodies would decay and we would look like zombies. It is a possibility, but maybe not in our lifetimes.

lol they are always working on that. The latest that I know is they discovered a 'string' in cells that shortens every time it splits. When the string disappears the cell stops splitting.
If you removed caused for natural death a person would live an average of 400 years. I asked a lawyer how he'd enjoy being married to his wife on his 60th anniversary for another three hundred years. "Oh no...Never".
That's when he told me that marriage was never supposed to last as long as it does, 2,000 years ago the average age was 21 and no big deal but as life gets longer there will be issues.
could yo imagine what it could be like for hollywood stars to start showing people you could marry every 20 years and start a new family for 400 years?

I don't think we are anywhere near that type of leap. I think our best bet towards a longer life span and/or eventually immortality would be medicine. Medicine has increased our mortality rate in a huge way, in just a short amount of time. People are living for longer and longer, but I do think we are way off from never dying (if that would even occur). Imagine if no one ever died, we would have over population in no time.

We would have to find a way to stop aging in all cells in the body. Or some way to reverse aging. The question is, how long will brain matter last and other sensitive body tissues after countless revitalizatoins?

lol "Scientifically" speaking, our bodies were not meant to live on forever. I know you don't want to hear this but I think you would have more luck looking for eternal life through a miracle/religion. lol Good luck with that one.

I don't think that is possible unless you believe in vampires or something which has yet to be proven - lol - but I do believe that we are all going to die if we don't stop fighting with one another and killing our earth.
