Is there any place to find human-soldier-driver scale figures (1:18-1:24) to match die cast cars or plastic models?

I make crafts. I have a big container of corks from wine bottles that someone gave me. I want to make something with them. I was thinking of stringing them as a garland for a teenager's room onto twine but I don't know what to string in between them to make the garland interesting and cool. Any and all ideas welcomed.

A few years ago I was at a craft fair & saw small refrigerator magnets that looked like tiny donuts, hamburgers, crackers & such. Some of the crackers & cookies looked real like they had just been varnished. Any information would be appreciated.

I found a diagram on the web, but it really doesn't EXPLAIN the difference, it just assumes I can figure it out LOL. So what is the difference? They both have brakes, they both spin, and though they do look different they still seem the same. So is one better than the other?

I'm just wondering if a RC simulator is a good way to get into the hobby of RC planes/helis... Should I buy the ever-expensive RealFlight G3.5, FS-one, or other software instead of a model to start? I have FMS, and drive a hobby-grade RC truck.

If you want to recommend a model in your answer, go ahead!

I would like to make a mini ribbon belt using a wooden belt buckle. Puttling it around the napkins. I saw this in magazine but of course can't find a local craft store with the right stuff. Any help finding cheap wooden belt buckles? I found this. It was the only ones I could find. http://www.lesbonribbon.com/oscommerce/index.php?cPath=37_125&osCsid=04596b92d0d65cb1846ecb16fdc361bd

Ok I bought a Handy stitch. I want to know how to use it I have never used a sewing machine. I have threaded it the way it asked I put the cloth beneath the fastening plate. I started to so and it was a long stitch. However on the bottom the thread is in tiny loops and when I slightly pulled the cloth apart it came apart. I feel like I have to tie it in some way but I’m not sure. Any help?
