I have a new note book and i don't want to use it for school or as a journal or diary. I want to use it in a creative way so i can look back and remember things but not like a scrap book and nothing near a journal or a diary.

I lost the post the thread sits on. I bought another one all purpose one but it does not quite fit right and after awhile it makes the thread spool fall off. Where can I get one specifically made for a Singer 6136 model that is about 25 years old?

I have tons of greeting cards that are sentimental, and I hate to throw them away because they are from when I got married, and when I had my baby, and so on, but I really don't know what to do with them. Does anyone have any cool ideas on ways to display them, without looking like I am an obsessive compulsive hoarder?

I'm a 45 year old male in need on a new hobby to dtstract myself from squabbling children. Nothing strenuous, I already do the mountain-bike and gym thing. Not photography, tried that, bit dull. Not musical, already play the piano. Gardening's OK but I have to do that anyway.
Ideally involve having to buy some 'stuff' or kit, but nothing too ruinous or likely to bring about divorce. Could be mentally taxing or brain-dead, not fussed.
Mustn't take up too much space as kids have occupied most of the house. Time avilable for this occupation a couple of hours in the evening.

Any conventional or off the wall ideas considered.

Thanks a lot
