I presume that you want to know if any 1982-dated 50 pence coin has the English coat of arms on it. The answer is no. All 50 pence coins from the GB dated 1982 features the Queen on one side, and Britannia on the other.

The 1982 50 Pence from the UK has the queen on the obverse and good old Britannia on the reverse. The 1982 50 Paise of India was a one year issue. The obverse has 3 lions above a large 50 and the reverse has a map of India. In fact the coin has the word India right on the obverse. There are several countries that use Pence as well as other denominations beginning with the letter P. A description on both sides of the coin would have been more helpful.

I think you are talking about an Indian coin with three lions and 50 p written on it.

In India, you'd find the 3 lions symbol on almost all coins. Its a national symbol representing the Ashoka Pillar.

50 p stands for 50 paise. 100 paise make a Rupee (which is the official Indian currency).

And yes, you'd find plenty of them in 1982.

I do know that they made £1 coins with 'the three lions' on in 1997 and 2002 - possibly other years too but that's all I am aware of.
