I lost the post the thread sits on. I bought another one all purpose one but it does not quite fit right and after awhile it makes the thread spool fall off. Where can I get one specifically made for a Singer 6136 model that is about 25 years old?

You can get the specific one for your machine or generic ones, also some made of plastic that has a slot cut into one end so that it will squeeze togeather and fit any hole. I repair sewing machine and these are the ones I keep around. Also check with a large fabric store like Hancock or JoAnnes or a sewing machine dealership should have these. Good luck.

that's what I call Bobbin paintings. in many circumstances i discover that this suggests that the stress is off. this may well be the bobbin tension ( the little screw on the part of the bobbin). once you carry the piece of thread it extremely is popping out of the bobbin case it would carry. in case you shake it it would enable some thread out yet catch back. If it extremely is desperate top then you might pass directly to the spool tension. someplace throughout the time of the threading technique you would be passing by 2 steel disks there could be a knob there that instruments the stress. It probable might desire to be set to a a ways better extensive type. If those steps do no longer artwork then i might additionally propose taking it in for a song-up. wish that this grow to be powerful.

I needed the same thing when my machine (401) was about 40 years old and was able to get it from a local sewing machine repair store. Depending on where you live, you should be able to find one.
Also this is the web page to contact Singer http://www.singerco.com/company/contact_us.html
