I really want to start to knit, but I don't really know where to begin. Can anyone suggest some books, projects and stores where I could buy wool in Canada, esp Vancouver?

anyone have any idea on how to make paper from scrap paper. i work in a nursery school and paper has to be in supply at all times for the children to draw on. as u can imagine there is a lot of waste where the scribblers just put a few marks on a sheet and discard it. I would like to show them how we can recycle paper to make some new sheets.

This organiser has a pink front cover which has cute kittens on, but I believe there is also one available with puppies on. It is the fact that it has a useful Christmas Card and Present list at the back. I have been unable to locate a copy anywhere. Thanks for any help you can give.

No arts and crafts like those done in the second grade, or really cheesy things, something that I can perform or show that has tangible results and is not too expesive to get started on.

I recently heard about Letterboxing and it sounds like a good hobby to get us out of the house. But I don't know anything about making stamps. Has anyone tried Letterboxing and is it fun and safe to do?

Hi there! Okay, I'm doing a square cross stitch design, and at the moment its in an oval frame to keep it tight. But eventually when its finished I'm going to want to frame it, and when I remove the oval, there's going to be the oval crease in it. So how can I combat this? Do I just continue stitching inside the oval until I can't anymore, remove it, do the rest of the design and then iron it afterwards? In the instructions it has got how to press it, face down with the iron on medium, but I just thought I'd double check so I don't make a mess of it in the end. Thanks a lot in advance! :)
