There are branded descalers but I just use vinegar, switch on and put plate down on your draining board. Leave for about 3 mins. Empty vinegar out and then rinse a few times to get clean.

There are descaling tablets for Hard/Soft regions pick some up from your local 99p shop & follow the advice given on the packet.

first, make sure it is not plugged in. hold it so the steam holes are pointed downward, maintaining this position, use a dishwashing soap to clean scale off. rinse well and set on dry clean folded paper towel.
