Example recipe:


Spinach Bisque with Dill and Lemon

This creamy-smooth blended soup combines onion, potatoes, and spinach, plus milk, cream & sour cream, with a hint of lemon flavor.

Ingredients:
• 1 medium Vidalia or Spanish onion, finely chopped
• 2 teaspoons (canola) oil
• 1 cup water
• 2 cans (fat-free) chicken (or vegetable) broth
• 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
• 3 medium russet potatoes, peeled and diced
• 8 ounces washed fresh baby spinach
• 1 cup whole or 2% milk, or Silk soy milk
• 1 cup half and half or light cream (regular or fat-free as preferred)
• 8 oz container reduced-fat sour cream
• Garnish: finely chopped dill or finely grated lemon zest

Our church is conduction a bake sale for our Relay for Life team, which I am the captain of. I need some help...
I've never had a bake sale before, the only thing I need is a basic price list for items.

Never visited the US, but always wanted to. The food always seems way better out there, for example sweets and chocolate bars look nicer. Do Americans think this about our UK food and does anyone share the same view?

I know that fondue is the recent craze, but I just realized today that fondue is not the most hygenic thing to do. It's like double-dipping a chip in the dip. The same fork that goes in your mouth goes back in the community fondue pot. And how many people can really swear that their mouth never touches the fork?

Just curious if anyone has ever noticed this before.

I was just wonderin. I work at a store (nameless) where they put them togeather. I used to be a manager for a restarunt and took a food saftey course that taught us never keep and food by cleaneing produts. I have mentioned this to a couple of the bosses where I work now but it really doesnt seem to be a big deal for them. am I wrong to let this bug me so much?
