It's kind of hard to describe, I guess you gotta taste it.
But my perspective:
A twinkie:
It's really soft, like yellow cakey spogy, its plain tasting but the frosting in the inside is really creamy and extremely sweet.
And oreos:
The chocolate part is kind of a light chocolate taste, crunch, and the hardmiddle is semisweet like glaze/

When I was a kid, they were great! Yellow cake filled with sugary white whip-cream like filling.
One day in my 20's, I had a hankering for them (hadn't had them since I was in grade school). I bought a large box of them.
And they were disgusting! I couldn't believe I loved these things as a kid. The cake wasn't moist. It was yellow, sugary, spongy, and bland with a filling that tasted like white vegetable shortening and lots of sugar.
Really, they're okay. Some people love them, some hate them. Some don't care for them. If I was looking for a quick way to gain some weight, I'd probably eat these.
Oreos on the other hand, I still love. Fake cream filling sandwiched by two chocolate biscuits. I HAVE TO eat them with milk. It's the only way to go. And they're awesome.

Hmmm.... take a piece of pound cake (or a cakelette that is used for fruit shortcake deserts), and load it with whipped cream and then sprinkle about 3 or 4 tablespoons of sugar on it. That would pretty much sum up a Twinkie!

Twinkie: The closest I can get is to call it a fairy cake with sugary "cream" in the middle. Except they are industrial cakes so all you really taste is sugar sugar sugar. And E-numbers, of course. Sweet enough to make your teeth curl.
Oreo: Hard "chocolate" biscuits sandwiched with stiff "cream" in the middle. Not really all that chocolatey. In the US the big debate is the right way to eat them; whether to dunk or not to dunk, or whether to unscrew them and eat the filling first and Then dunk the outsides.

U can buy Oreo's in Farmfoods in the UK. They are nice, they are chocolate biscuits with a white cream filling. Kinda like our custard creams, but chocolate and round
