Our church is conduction a bake sale for our Relay for Life team, which I am the captain of. I need some help...
I've never had a bake sale before, the only thing I need is a basic price list for items.
Like for pies, 8" square cakes, 13x9 cakes, dozen cookies...
thanks!

I would sell a pie for between $5 and $8 depending on how hard it was to make. Cookies 12 for $5. I found that selling cookies singly worked great. $0.25 per cookie or 5 for $1. A lot of moms were willing to by their kids 1 or 2 cookies, but not a whole dozen. Try rice crispy treats for $0.50-$1 depending on size. We did an "overpriced" donut sale to earn money for camp and everyone thought it was so funny we were chargin so much money for a doughnut, they paid us more than we asked. We actually raised $500 in one day. It was great. We only sold about 200 doughnuts (granted, some people donated money and didn't want a doughnut). It was a great gimick.

One thing I found that's a big hit at a Bake Sale (besides cookies, cakes cut into individual slices and wrapped, slices of pies, etc. is Cheesecake Tarts. They are very easy to make and all you do is bring a can of cherry pie filling with you to put a small spoonful of about 3 cherries and a little sauce on each one just before serving. You can freeze them so they can be made ahead of time. Here's the recipe: CHEESECAKE TARTS 2" foil cups (21) 2 (8 oz) pkgs cream cheese 2 eggs 3/4 c sugar 1 T lemon juice (can use concentrate) 1 tsp vanilla 1 box Keeblers Vanilla Wafers 1 (20 oz) can cherry pie filling Mix all except wafers and pie filling and beat 5 minutes. Arrange cups on a cookie sheet or muffin pan. Put one Keebler Vanilla Wafer in each cup and fill 3/4 full. Bake in preheated 375º for 15 minutes. Cool. Put cherry pie filling on top just before serving. I used to keep a supply of them in the freezer for when we had company - an easy and quick dessert. When my daughter-in-law put these out at a military Bake Sale, they were the first things to go. Definitely a big hit!

ask around at local churches to get the prices for your area. the early answer gave good prices, a little on the low side. Ask for donations and have a list of minimum donations, a lot of people will take a cake and not want change from a $10.00 bill.

Cookies are 4 for a dollar
Cupcakes are fifty cents each.
