My husband and I will be celebrating our 2nd anniversary in about 2 weeks. We already have the lobster tails, and we're having veal piccata. But I'm stuck on a different side dish that would go well with these two. We're getting a bit tired of asparagus and broccoli (usually with hollandaise).

I need something great and different for the side dish. Can anyone help?

(The only things we won't eat are squashes, fennel, eggplant, or brussel sprouts)

Last week, I bought five white potatoes from the supermarket. I put them in one of those clear plastic bags and tied a knot to close it. For the first couple of days, I kept the bag of potatoes on my kitchen counter. I then moved the bag of potatoes to the floor, which is where they remained for the rest of the week. Today, I noticed that one of the potatoes has completely.. liquified itself, for lack of a better description. There's liquid in the bag, and the skin of the liquified potato is just lying in there limp. The rest of the potatoes look okay, but the ones that were touching the liquid feel sort of soft when I poke them through the bag.. sort of like how poking a wet sponge would feel. What in the world happened to my potatoes?! I don't dare open the bag. Also, if it matters, the potatoes were exposed to light the whole week. They are in a clear bag, about 8 ft away from a window. And my apartment is quite warm (I don't control the temperature, the building does).

Does anyone else put an ice cube in their hot coffee to cool it down a little so you can enjoy it right away without scalding your mouth, or am I just weird?

My daughter who is 4 months old has been on Goats milk for 2 days now, she had rashes on her body earlier on when she was on Formula (similac) and the doctors think it could be lactose intolerance. The rashes have disappeared, but she seems to be constipated as she had some blood in her stool. Could it be caused by Goats milk and how could it be treated? And is it good to give Goats milk a baby like her?
