My favorite food EVER is the famous Greek gyro, problem is, I don't know how to pronounce it. Everytime i order it, the server kinda chuckles and i've always wondered why until my sister told me she thinks i'm pronouncing it wrong. I'm kinda shy to ask the person who works there....so do you say it how you spell it?

I saw this on tv last night on the Food Network. The section on guasacaca was so funny, as you can imagine! Does anyone know what it tastes like? Can you taste the bell peppers a lot? Please let me know, 'cause I wanna make this stuff but I really hate green peppers, so if the pepper flavor is strong, I'll pass. But if not, I'm game!

Do not suggest Amazon as they do not have them, I checked. Do not suggest Chinatown as I cannot get there, I am housebound.
If it requires importing them, that is a possibility as I know a company who would buy in quantity, if postage was reasonable.

Does that mean Italian cooking comes from French style? And Japanese and Korean are a subset of the Chinese Style?

I've got Asian friends. I've seen them mention the soup Pho in their blogs. It sounds like it's really good. I've always wanted to try it but lived out of state and there was no where that offered it wehre I was. Now that i'm in L.A. I want to try Pho but have no idea where to go to get it. Any suggestions for the best Pho in town?

Panir is a non-melting Indian cheese made without enzymes. I've tried a few Latin American cheeses, but they're either too salty or stringy when heated. I've tried making it, but it didn't have the right texture (too crumbly). Thanks!

My friend claims the best Japanese food he ever had was called SKEE-YAKI, not suki-yaki. Please forgive my spelling. Has anybody heard of it and can you tell me a little about how to make it. He has tried to order it in Japanese restaurants but no luck.

WHENEVER I EAT CASHEW CHICKEN FROM PANDA EXPRESS THE CASHEWS GO STRAIGHT THROUGH ME AND END UP UNDIGESTED IN A STEAMING PILE OF DUNG. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM? DO YOU THINK THE FOOD CAN BE RECYCLED IF IT WERE PROPERLY DECONTAMINATED?

I have chicken, red curry powder, turmeric, heavy cream, and tomato sauce. I have a few other odds and ends like potatos, a fresh tomato from my garden, salt and pepper, and a few other odds and ends but I have no coriander. Can I use the ingredients I have to make a nice chicken curry?
